Edit
Message from updownshopQuoteThis is to inform everyone that the above event in Florida (SkyFest 2009) is not associated with SkyFest "The Boogie that Pays it Skyward" : www.skyfestboogie.com that many of you may be familiar with.
I contacted Anne-Laure (DZO) and we agreed that they will go ahead and keep the name for this years Wounded Warrior Fund Raiser event and it will be re named for next years.
SkyFest is all about promoting the growth, safety and retention of the sport and we want their event to be a success. We even discussed adding their DZ as sponsors for Skydiving Scholarship Fund for new jumpers in 2010.
So go and support the Wounded Warrior Fund Raiser this weekend at the DZ and we hope to see you in June 2010 at Skydive the Farm!
Sincerely

I normally don't write or read much of anything on DZ.com. Most of the time it's just crap anyway.
Skydive SW Florida is a club. To jump here, you must be member. The membership fee is $10.00. It has nothing to do with boogie fees.
It just happend to be that we were asked to host the rest of the event after the city of Marco pulled the plug. (We're also the closest DZ to Marco). I think most of the jumpers that came here had a great time. However, the $23.00 charged for the jumps in LaBelle was the price the organizers from Marco told us to charge. It was still their gig and their plane. We just offered our time and facilities.

The Skytruck came this past wekend as a "bandaide" from our planned boogie three weeks ago. It is still not ready for regular jumping, but it was a blast to jump it.
Hopefully we can get it for a full weekend soon!!!!!
