Hey All, been off from jumping for a year + after being preggers and all that stuff! I'm ready to get back! BUT need a new container and new cypress. I have a cypress 170 which is still in great condition. Anyone out there selling container to fit Spectre 170 and a new cypress or used cypress...OR is there something else better out there nowadays?!?! Any input would be fab!

If you, or anyone else, finds video of him. I would love to see it, and I'm sure lots of other people would as well.
I met Cliff after he moved out to CA at Hollister, when he moved off to law school in Davis The Doctor threw this video together. In Cliff style he complained it did not have enough of "him" in it.
The last conversation I had with him was at thanksgiving, he was telling me about this watches (chronographs no less).

If anyone can host a 65MB file I have a higher res version of this.
Just read the news of Cliff...Very sad!
Simon thanks for posting the video. I also met Cliff in Hollister and was always afraid to debate w/him b/c he intimidated me so much! Law school was very fitting for him--His family is in my thoughts and prayers today.
I attached an old photo from 2004, our "Hollister Hybrid"

Yeah, I was wondering where the hell he was on the DZ. I hadn't seen him the last two Saturdays I was there and it might be toward the end of September before I'm back.

QuoteI'll come out for at least one day to pretend I'm in the sky. Will there be another attempt at a zone landing comp? Hope the wind is nicer this year.

QuoteSo who got a BTR number this weekend?
Speaking of "rackolicious"...how DO you become a member of this "boobie club" you speak of? Your boobs smelled so nice!!!! (heheheh!!)
Or perhaps it was all those jello shots I had?
Quote
My thanks to EVERYBODY who showed up!! You made it worth all the stress, effort and expense. 40 registered jumpers managed 15 loads on the 206 (not bad considering the two airport shutdowns on Saturday) 5 loads in the Caravan, ate 40 pounds of tri-tip and 200+ jello shots, and drank a keg of beer (and a shit load of cocktails - thanks for the daquiris, Monkeyboy!). No injuries, nobody swooped the pond, nobody whined or complained about the slower pace (at least not to me )...
A big, huge thank you to Dave Hughes from Skydive Santa Barbara for the aircraft support. Having the Caravan on Sunday was awesome.
Here's some of what my camera caught...
Thanks Lisa! You did an awesome job...what an amazing place for a boogie!! I had a great time! :)
QuoteFor those of you who were planning to go to the Star Farms Boogie and bailed when the scheduled turbine fell through ... well, I guess I can understand that, since we had no fun at all. Zip, zilch, nada.
I second that, Cesna's suck, it was a horrible time! You can see from these other pics, the scenary was horrifying!

QuoteHow basic an introduction do you need?
Highlight the data that you want to put in your pie chart.
Click the little graph icon (looks like a bar chart) or select "Insert" and "Chart" on the menu.
You'll get a wizard, on that wizard, choose pie chart.... follow the instructions.
Great! I will start with this first! THANKS!!!!
THANKS!!!!

QuoteMark your calendars, make your plans... the Second Ever Star Farms Boogie/Paso Robles Skydiver Reunion is happening September 16th and 17th!
Paso Robles is located on the central coast of California. It's about 40 miles north of San Luis Obispo and about the same distance east of the Pacific Ocean. There used to be a dropzone on the airport; it's where I learned to skydive and did most of my first 700 jumps. For various reasons we can't land on the airport so we'll be taking off from there and landing/partying/camping at Star Farms.
Star Farms is an alfalfa ranch a few miles from the Paso Robles Airport. It was a favorite place for Paso skydivers to jump into at sunset. It's got a huge landing area, a swimmable (but NOT SWOOPABLE - trust me on this one) pond, a sandy beach area for sunbathing, camping space, clean bathrooms and showers, a big bbq area, a tiki bar, a trampoline, a log roll... And it's waaaay out in the country so we can party long, loud and late without worry!
We'll have a PAC750XL to jump out of. We're working on getting load organizers for RW, freefly and wingsuits. We may even have a PD Tour rep with demo canopies. Paid packers will be on hand.
$25 registration covers full use of the facilities for the weekend, beer and dinner Saturday night and transportation to the airport for each load. Jumps will be $22 to 13000 feet. Minimum USPA A license (or equivalent foreign license), current USPA (or equivalent foreign parachuting organization) membership and an in date reserve are required to jump.
Tandem jumps for your whuffo friends and family may be available; please contact me if you're interested so we can arrange to have a tandem instructor and rig there. Other student jumps will NOT be offered or allowed (but non-licensed skydivers are of course welcome to come hang out and party with us).
Be there!!!
COUNT ME IN!!!! WOO HOO!!
Quote(Traumatic Brain Injury)
Can't wait to jump again. Where is the hacky :-)
Love you Paul! Good to see you posting again!
Can't wait to see you in the air again hot stuff!! but no packing my chute! Hope you had a good 4th!
QuoteJ and I got our scuba rating (is that what it's called? Or is it certification? ) last Friday and we're so excited about it. How many other sky/scuba divers are there here?? I know only a few.
I just got certified in Monterey CA in March! I've dove in Ixtapa and Cabo so far (besides CA)...I LOVE it!!!
Quote8 or 8:30? I should be able to make it...
