  1. @ 0:09 you can see a yellow line coming down from the back off the canopy, on which the Wingcam is than attached. The yellow line is held in place during deployment with a snap shackle.

  2. Just a few pics of my set up.
I used 2 Manfrotto 394 quickreleases (just because I like to work with them :P ) to set up my CX 116 with Raynox 0.3 lens along with my Canon 450D with 15mm fish eye lens. To top it off I use aHype Eye pro to get the video working (which I just installed yesterday & need to set in place today) & a Bite Switch from J-Lo to (ab)use the camera. The Newton ringsight will shortly be replaced with a removable one.

The custom paint job was something I did last year while I was recovering from a torn achilles tendon.

  3. Yes Saskia, I'm still here ;) but I'm silent when people speak who know more about the matter at hand. :P

I'm currently following a photography course (we had tests this week (finished second of my class :P) which helped me understand all what you were writing. I am trying all the suggestions and tomorrow I hope to use different settings then my previous (So.... bye bye Sports-mode)

I'm still reading up on everything I can find and I'll try not to take on the easy advice (of some of my camera friends B|) like: "Always use the Sports mode. It that simple"

  4. At this moment I use the Sports mode on my Canon 450D with standard lens but I'm waiting for a Canon 15mm for it.
    My question is...
what setting DO YOU use (and why) for what type off weather/daytime/season? Also does these settings change when you use a circular polarisation filter?

    Thx

  5. Didn't it occur to you that MAYBE prior to 2 months ago the German skydiving population didn't post their fatalities on the forum as much as they do now?
If you can't put facts & numbers behind your "thoughts" they best remain just "thoughts"

  6. I tore both my ACL's (both knees :P) and also the medial ligament, meniscus & an impact fracture on the left knee with a landing gone bad. I didn't work for 5 months and 10 days. played handball with a kneebraces for the next year and started jumping again after 5 years. The long layoff didn't have anything to do with skydiving.
But what I'm wanting to say is: start again with a comfortable, forgiving canopy that has soft landings in it. It's better at first that you don't strain it that much at first.

  7. It's not that much work, as it (the coat) does most off the work itself. Just for estetic reasons it is required to help a little.
Washing her is another thing....;) after we bathed her (for 3 to 4 hours work) we dry the coat in 2 days time. the floor is clean afterwards though :P

if something is dirty we just cut it off. She has more then hair enough

  8. I'm searching (for a while now) for the video of a tandem student that starts shouting "i f*cking hate you..." & other stuff right before exit.
Can anyone direct me to the link or post about it.

    Cheers Artbel

  9. I had my old Symbiosis RW jumpsuit (no booties) converted. A rigger adjusted it for me. it didn't cost me that much, about 60 or 70 euro, if I recall. The wings themselfs are attached by (plastic) clips on the front/inside of my legs.
I will take a picture of it in the morning & post it. ;)
