  1. Has anyone got any new piece of information - apart from the add on Skydiving #271 - about this new gadget called Cybernetic Radio Emergency Ejection & Piloting System, from SCARE-TEC?

  2. Has anyone ever read any article, post or comment on the pulling strength (in kg./lb.) required by a jumper during an emergency procedure (release main/pull silver)? Is guess it might depend on the Gs involved.

  3. I´ve just read in PD´s web page a question related to F111 vs ZP fabrics on Reserve canopies.
I would like to know if anyone can tell whether Parachute de France Techno Reserves are made up of F111 material or not.
In their owners´ manual I could only find a reference to it´s permeability; quote "... canopies have both upper and lower skins made with fabric of which permeability does not exceed 5 cfm (cubic feet of air through one square foot per minute at 1/2" of water pressure)".

I like the Teardrop SF, mainly because that's what I've ordered. If I could afford any rig though, I'd have to say Voodoo or G3.

I must agree. My TSE Superfly TearDrop is still a very reliable and comfortable container after seven years. I like the fact that the reserve flap is not exposed. The main pin flap and riser covers are pretty secure as well. I would say it´s "a classic for freeflying". I am really fond of it, after all, it´s my first rig and it´s totally customized !
In Argentina you can find a lot of Atoms (Parachute de France) as well.
If I am ever lucky to afford another one, I would probably try a Mirage G4 or a Javelin Odyssey.

  6. Thanks Dave for those tips. I guess I am in the right path then. Just one comment - I was expecting to have a "Safety-no jump-Day" rather than hold the seminars till the end of the day. Do you think people will appreciate it better if they are free to jump? because I´ve scheduled seminars and suspended harness activities throughout the day.

  7. Hi, I am trying to organize Safety Day activities in my home country for the first time ever! I will follow USPA guidelines and my idea is to have our parachute association endorse it and schedule it annually. I would love to know about your DZ experiences throughout these years, and any tips which, from your point of view, are a "must" in order to make it an interesting, productive and fun experience as well. Thank you all for your kind contributions !!!

  8. I´d love to see green hamsters in freefall, or at least that saber-toothed funny squirrel named Scrat.
At an argentine DZ, last week´s punishment for farting in the plane was an intentional miss spotting -10 miles off - nice pilot revenge, don´t you think ?

  9. Here is the model I am inquiring about. My concern is for the mentioned strakes just behind the door. They seem to be pretty hazardous for big ways or even a solo diver.
There´s a Boogie coming up in September in CHILE and the organisers have four of these 1900 (2 passengers and 2 cargo) which could be used instead of a military CASA 235.
What about forward speed on exit ? How much can this plane decrease?

  10. Does anyone know if a Beech 1900 would make a suitable jump plane ? I am trying to find a DZ which might have test one, but is pretty hard up to now.
I would be most grateful for any comment or piece of advice.
