As a former bartender of a bar/band venue - my rule was 'the more you tip, the less you wait'.

On a $2.50 beer:

If you're competing for the bartender's attention in a crowded bar 3 rows deep, tip $1.50-2.50.

If you're at a low-key bar with no wait, tip $.50.

I did play Guess The Crime for about 2 hours when I should've been working. It's an interesting site, click on the faces and you can see what they were booked for. You can search the archive based on age, too, which is fascinating - especially 70 and over.

But is this right? Technically not guilty until proved otherwise - but if you're booked in Tampa, you look like a criminal.

It's fascinating to me. The most outspoken, deeply evangelical proselytizing born again christian I know is very obviously using christianity to hide from himself. He might be gay, he might be transgendered, but he's definitely fucked up from trying to deny it.

The hypocrisy is surprisingly not shocking.

It's a "there goes the neighborhood" type of sentiment.

And it comes from people who need to feel exclusive to feel special.
