I got a JFX2 94 in June and put around 200 jumps on it. What exactly do you want to know?

Some general informations I can give:

    - My wingload is around 2.2 on it.

    - Its very responsive to harness and riser input and a lot of fun to fly with. I like to fly the wing only with harness and if needed some rear riser input.

    - Openings are fast ( not hard ) and most of the time on heading.

    - The flare is very powerful, no matter if you do a straight in landing, a 90° turn, or a bigger turn. Rears are also very responsive for leveling the wing out after a turn.

    - It also has very good slow flight capabilities, so you can even fly next to a student canopy ( as long as the student canopy doesn't use toggles to break ;) )

    - It can cover a lot of ground, so you still can make it back from those long spots

That's what I've heard about it so far. I have a JFX 89 at 2.4 which I really like but I think the JFX2 might be what I'm looking for, Thanks man!

I'm moving from 29 Palms, CA to Pensacola, FL. I leave the 7th of January and check in on the 27th. I'll be traveling through Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. I want to hit up a bunch of DZ's along the way, so...

    Here's the list so far:

    Eloy
    Temple
    Spaceland
    Gold Coast Skydivers
    Emerald Coast Skydivers
    The Farm

    Where else should I go?

As if it won't take you long enough to drive through Texas you have four DZs within a short distance from I 10.
    Sky Dive San Marcos
    Gravity Rats near Austin
    Aggieland
    and finally ..Spaceland
I figure what should be a normal 12 hour drive west to east should take about about a week if you stop at all of these. I probably have left someone off the list, but they'll chime in soon enough.
SSM, the Rats and Spaceland all have turbines, I'm not sure about Aggieland.

Find a Lutheran church. They like to drink. Alot. :)

I would suggest Lutheran or the Episcopal church. Both are very welcoming and the services can be quite beautiful.

Also they are serious party denominations. Cause wherever you find 4 Episcopalians there is always a fifth.:P

Of course we Presbyterians would never approve of that.

  6. Call manifest to give them a heads up. Saturdays can be very busy and the lot can fill up fast.

There is usually an a rigger there on the weekends. again call ahead and make sure he won't be busy doing other stuff.

  7. Ok, I'll risk it. Dubai isn't nearly as oil rich as the other Gulf states. Consequently they are using thier existing oil wealth to build an economy not chained to petroleum.

Just picture one of those slopes next to the tunnel in Eloy.;)

Anyone ever order anything from them?

    Specifically, jump suits?

I just got my freefly suit in the mail today. This is a really quality product. The cotton canvas fabric feels freakin bullet proof. The cuffs are velcro, very wide and secure. I can't wait to get it in the air.

Even with paying extra for a few options, quick turn around and shipping from NZ it was still under US$300

As for price and customer service these guys can't be beat.:)

What I am curious about is the gas prices along I-10 from Austin to Phoenix. Does anyone along the way know what I should expect to be paying?

A lot. There are some very remote stretches of road along there, interrupted by only a few small towns, and the prices are always much higher than in the big cities.

If you don't have the cash, put it on a credit card and pay it off later.

There is one stretch between Ft. Stockton and Van Horn where you'll go at least a half-tank of gas, 150 miles or so, between gas stations. So when in doubt, stop every half-tank and top-off.

    Watch out for the tumbleweed.

There is so much of absolutely nothing in west Texas. Gas prices tend to be about 20 cents more/gallon too.

  11. the Otter is back with new engines and I believe there is some type of salsa/queso cook off Saturday evening.
I suspect tequila will be the beverage of choice.:S

Wingsuits in several varieties should also be on hand

  12. Looking forward to SkyFest, but honestly I'm not so in to all the specialty aircraft. They are fun to watch, but too expensive to jump.

Otters and the CASA are plenty for me. Maybe a helo.B|

  13. You should bring your gear and jump with us. The Otter has just come back from a major engine upgrade and is open for business.

We don't mind hop and pops eitherB|

We are about an hour from the north side of SA. Take I35 to Hwy 80 in San Marcos, then south for 14 miles. Can't miss it. Look for the T-Bo on the left.

  16. There seems to be a shortage of airplanes this weekend. All we have at SSM is the 182. The Otter is still being upgraded.
Check around before you make any long drives TSR has a lot of the planes at Spaceland.
