  1. How is this possible? Everytime I read this forum I feel that the wingsuiting community sucks ass. Everything is so full of shit. But in the real world I meet the people and everybody are really cool and awesome individuals. I have never met an asshole wingsuiter.

    WTF is going on here?

  2. Just checked my logbook. In my country our average flockin falling speed in good company is mostly between 70 - 80 km/h (43,5 - 49,7 mph). Only thing that reduces our forward speed is that hard on we get with high speeds. It is not so aerodynamic.

  3. Only thing which is is hijacked is my picture from facebook jubilating the intependence day of Finland 6.12.

  4. I don´t hijack anything. Just tried to say that it is possible to fly a flock with big suits also. Just fly! I don´t recommend big suits for beginners. Learn to fly safely is the number one priority. After that spread your wings.

  5. In my country flocks are flying. Not just falling. Wingsuits are made for flying. Not falling in formation. :P

  6. So sad to hear this. Chris won hard battles during his last years but now it is over. Eternal blue skies and puffy clouds are his playground now.

Chris gave me the first flight course in Z-Hills 2005. We flew together several jumps. Those jumps with him changed my life and addicted me permanently in the nylon crack.

    Thank you Chris.

  7. I think

there is no deed to define what is wingsuit or not. What should be defined is the flight angle of the flying formation. Wingsuit formation should fly properly. Falling in a group is not flying. There is another discipline for that.

Taya, in improvements outlined, the flyer size is still a large variable.
Selecting a 2.15 meter base flyer will give everyone a very big tollerance, compared to a 1.50 person flying base. And the same goes for the people flying the slots.

So we must not let Taya fly the base...:P

  9. We made some test flights with Juho. We were flying very close but not taking grips just a little bit behind from front flyers wing. In right position the airflow made you float very easily.

The formation where the geese are flying is using the same phenomenon. It really works with wingsuits too.

We tested it also behind the front guys tailwing. Behind the tail there is a point just under the turbulence that makes you really floaty. You have to be very near and just under the turbulence. The envelope is very small but really effective.

What is to stop a bunch of good belly fliers putting tiny, functionless wings under their arms and claiming a wingsuit formation while falling straight down.

Surely there should be some reference to the type of flight.

HAHA. This made me smile as I know this is what Yuri must think of when he talks about flocking. Thanks for the laugh. But you do make a valid point.

HAHA mee too. My earlier post was deleted for some reason but again:

I think Kallends question about defenition of wingsuitformation and the suits used in it is a good question.

In Elsinore, in both records, 71 and 68 -way it could have been possible to fly in the formation with a trackingsuit....Impact or Prodigy... There has to be a defenition how fast or slow the formation is falling to be a FLYING formation.
