a97virago 0 #1 May 14, 2003 I'm in the process of getting my first rig . The trouble is that it comes with an, as my rigger describes it, "old and thin and tired, just like me! Except for the thin part." The container is a 1994 Vector 5.5. I've been told that at one time, Relative workshop took old containers for trade-in credit for a new one. Is this a myth, and are they still doing this? Larry A-43434
174fps 1 #2 May 14, 2003 Quote The container is a 1994 Vector Quote OLD? ...... I'm still using my first container (1984 Vector) as my CReW rig. Ask the rigger if it is still airworthy, If the answer is yes , go jump it. just remember to get the velcro replaced regularily. have fun Andrew
Plucky 0 #3 May 14, 2003 I agree with 174fps, my first rig was also a 1984 Vector (aquired about three years ago). I'd be more worried about the reserve in it (if any). Blue skies
a97virago 0 #4 May 14, 2003 I think the issue he had with it, is that it was a student rig (used originally) and is rather threadbare Larry A-43434
