Have fun! I'm jealous that you get to ski whistler all season!:P

That being said I know how scary it can be moving away from home all alone, granted I only moved 6 hours way, it was still tough not knowing anyone and being in a strange place. The best advice I can give you as a snowboarder is to join your schools ski and snowboard teem. It's a great way to break the ice and get to make friends. I met so many of my really close friends that I know today through my schools ski club. I don't know how it works in BC but, in california each participating school has a ski club and our clubs meet up to have parties and go on ski trips together. It's a great way to meet people in the same situation as you.
