Your boy is over 18 and the law is not on his side if he takes the kid up on his offer of a fight. Don't think that the other kids parents wouldn't pounce on your son if he came out on top in a fight. As mentioned before. Have your son call the police and make a report before this goes any further. He is a legal adult and this is the route he needs to take to protect himself and you from possible legal issues. Talk to the school... most schools have some police officer assigned to it... talk to them about the situation. Cover your ass. It's a crazy world out there. Better your son takes a hit in the reputation department than letting a situation escalate to tragic ends. It may sound like over reacting, but kids today have a very skewed idea of what is acceptable behavior and actions. Killing or permenately injuring someone isn't as appalling to kids of today as it was once upon a time. May sound like an advertisement but.... I just bought the "Roady" for XM. I travel all the time and needed something that was truely mobile. The Roady was the smallest and you can get a combo power/fm modulator. I bought a little ac to dc converter so I can plug it into the wall and now when I'm on the road I can just plug it in to the car and at the hotel (I use a little fm stereo headset in the motel)... I had to order the damn remote so I can change the channel and surf without getting up. If I didn't travel so much I would have invested in the Delphi Skyfi reciever and optional componets. I was really interested in Sirius but XM has better choice of talk radio which I really like on long road trips, not to mention that XM music is now commercial free too. Both Sirius and XM are great, each has some things the other doesn't... go to the websites for both and compare the lineups and see who has more of what you want. Sirius has a nice offer of "Lifetime" subscription --- However that is for the lifetime of the RECIEVER you activate the account with. So if the equipment lasts for 20 years great... if it goes to crap in a year or 2... you are screwed. I think it goes something like this... after being potty trained... the bathroom and your habits in it tend to be unknown to everyone but you. Years of bad habits through childhood, adolecence and so on tend to follow people to into the work enviroment. Have you noticed that the worst cases tend to be in the "private" bathrooms at work? At my work in the small bathrooms I have found: The toliet running because someone broke the handle - I fixed it and checked to see if anyone had reported it -no of course not Toliet paper strewn about like christmas decoration. Evidence of what could only be decribed as explosive diareha. Floaters - damn... flush till its gone people! Standing puddles of urine next to the toilet. The ever so common urine splattered seat. I don't get people. You think you work with professional adults and the bathrooms always look worse than a junior high toilet. Lazy? Stupid? Inbred? Sony DSC-V1 - it's been a great camera so far. Olympus puts out some really good stuff too as mentioned before. Something to consider is that you can buy at most stores and have a few weeks to try it and if you don't like it, take it back. Read as many reviews as you can and if you can, go to every store that has them and try them out in your hands 1st. Happy shopping!

Jimbo, In a word... "Yes" I believe in taking responsibility for your actions and that includes following through on decisions. If someone has to die and I have any part in that decision, I have no problem of pulling the trigger and cleaning up the mess after. I wouldn't expect someone else to do the dirty work. When I was an EMT, I literally had people die in my arms and I wasn't the person responsible for the situation, so I don't think I would have a problem watching a person die that I thought deserved to. Hell Yeah... Bring your rig You have a few choices of dropzones within good driving distance. If the weather is crap at one, theres's a good chance you can jump at another. I jump at Mile Hi, but I've heard good things about the other dropzones too... Lots of good people to jump with. Hope the weather is clear when you are here, you'll get some great views of the rockies at altitude

I've carried on my rig several times through John Wayne... no problems. I'll check anything but my rig. I paid to damn much to ever let that thing out of my sight. Sorry to hear that they screwed with it. Guess if I ever check my rig I'll make up some tags to put on the handles advising against pulling . As a side note... Other than Practice (starting to sense a pattern here?), you can label your lines (on the tabs where they attach) or color code them. Check with a rigger about what to use. After a while you'll find you dont need it. A good trick that I was shown for keeping the lines separate was to keep the slider down by the canopy instead of on or over your shoulder... this way the lines sperated into only 2 groups each (a,b), (c,d). You learn to work around the slider pretty quickly. There are as many ways to pack as there are skydivers... so look around and ask around. Once you find a way that works, use it. I started out packing a F1-11 canopy, but it didn't help when I got a ZP... slippery as eels in oil . It's getting that time of year again... Lot's of politics in the air and the news and threads tend to drift in the direction of the latest news. Thats the great thing about "Talk Back", people tend to post what they are thinking about during the day. As I was reading the 9/11 posts and the GWB posts and the usual hot topic threads, I started thinking about motivation some people have for starting or replying to these. For the most part, I'm a live and let live type person. I believe in taking responsibility for what goes on around me and dealing the with consiquences of my actions or lack there of. I'm a quiet person that for the most part will not tell you my real opinion on things unless I really know you well, so I'm usually amused at the ranting and raving that goes on. It provides entertainment at quite times in my schedule. There have been a plethera of threads that I would love to comment on, but have learned that for the most part that comments are taken out of context more often than not and the absence of body language and inflection make it hard to "read" what a person really means. So to sum it all up, I'm just wondering what people think about these threads and if they are being their true selves or just being polite or politically correct in the responses they give. I would hesitate to judge anyone based what they post here, but it is very interesting to see peoples reactions to emotionally charged issues. Some people go silent and some quite ones really come out screaming. Just my meandering and wandering thoughts for the day. hmmm 7/10 also... Funny how you kinda draw comparisons of how people look and what they do. Considering that a lot of serial killers are not "maniacs" and have dysfunctional problems and then consider the "intense" programmer and you can see that those dysfuntions start to appear similar. That's my just my take on it . I also find it funny how many computer geeks are skydivers. (I'm not good enough to be a geek... so I'm just a wannabe). Another good one would be for someone to do the same with ...
