Oh no, not you again. Nobody asked for your brand-war-opinion, dude...

Here's a Russian version of Antisnag mounts.. they sell for around 25$ They look really good and professional. http://antisnag.ru/ Website only in Russian, I used Google Translator for that.

Hi, anybody using GoPro's own handmount "The Strap" for tandem handcam and willing to share experiences about quality and durability? Or what would you recommend over it at a similar price tag for a Hero5 black? I like the idea of the Floydie Swivel mount because it's snag-free, but it's pretty expensive and looks like it will fall apart quickly. https://www.amazon.com/GoPro-Strap-Wrist-Mount-Official/dp/B00ZHDRHAG

1 reserve ride in 240 tandems. Spinning linetwist on a worn out Firebird Tandem canopy. The sucker always likes to twist up and the slider stays up until you pump the toggles. Terrible canopy that will hopefully be dumped in the woods soon
-
Okay thank you! Good news that canopy sizes are now easier comparable!
-
That's odd.. Atair used to measure their canopies different than PD(PIA method). Quote from Atair manual "Atair measures surface area by measuring the span x chord of the bottom skin. Stane Krajnc, the designer of the Troll, feels that this measurement best represents a flying canopy" So a WinX 150 should be bigger than a Storm 150 (equivalent to a Storm 170). Has anyone compared canopy sizes by actually laying them out on the floor? Maybe that's why you feel differences in flight characteristics stronger than they would be if you compared them on equal sizes.

I think it's a bit early for judgement when the new device has not even been developed to the end. Airtec has been known of not releasing anything that has been thought through, so be patient until we know all the details and how it works.

Airtec announces a new WINGSUIT CYPRES just seen this on their Facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/CYPRES.AAD/photos/a.10153940926394425.1073741873.144251389424/10153947095094425/?type=3&theater Interesting, this maybe could prevent incidents when AADs did not fire in activation altitude due to a unconscious/disabled wingsuiter still not falling fast enough for the device to activate. No details released yet.

got +100 jumps on it without any problems. The only personal downside for me is that is does not have the split design of the regular Mirage D-bag.. I always liked that becauses it eases shoving in bulky mains a bit.

Pulling from full flight - interesting article
Fall0ut replied to Fall0ut's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Here's an interesting article published by Matt Gerdes about pulling in an WS. http://www.base-book.com/some-thoughts-on-wingsuit-openings He does have a point. After 300 jumps with collapsing my legwing in all kinds of suits like being taught in the FFC, I will try to switch to this method.. hopefully without too many hard openings during the transition For coaching students, I still think it's easier and less stressful for a first timer to collapse his legwing to prevent getting wobbly when moving in both arms to the container and getting a hard opening. -
Does anybody know anything new about the two Freezone Moscow tunnels, are they still closed? Their website www.realfly.ru is down as well..

Over 600 jumps with my Altitrack.. from Hop'n'Pops to wingsuit jumps and tandems on over 25 dropzones. Never had any problems.

You really think you're funny, don't you... Those tiring brand wars are already annoying on a normal level.. you are taking this even one step further. Congratulations

It's ridiculous in terms of marketing and corporate communication that there is an obviously good new product on the market, being used by pros for a while already, company boss posts pictures of it on Facebook, but no information is available anywhere on the official company website or official FB page. So interested customers, willing to spend good money, have to ask in a forum about it!? I also asked Robi about the Sukhoi two months ago but got no response over FB. Similar things with TonySuits.. their website seems updated in 2013 for the last time. "Don't tell the customers about it, they might like it and give us their money" Are PF and TS so overloaded with orders already that they don't feel the need to sell their new products? Or don't they mind if Squirrel swoops in here and takes a big bite out of their market share? Just imagine if car manufacturers did that for a while.. EDIT: Thanks for the link and the information, Jarno!

Who can tell me about the Piranha 2 (Intrudair)?
Fall0ut replied to fastfallrate's topic in Wing Suit Flying
The Piranha2 is a good suit, it flies and performs similar to a Phantom3. The new PEdge might me state of the art, but the Piranha2 is a lot cheaper and in the beginning the only thing that matters is pilot ability. This suit will keep you challenged and entertained for a long time. There's a little less pressure on the arms and it feels a bit more sensitive because of the armwing shape with more fabric on the torso and less on the wingtips. It's okay for a beginner, I use three of them for my first flight courses. The newer versions of it (since 2015) have the upgraded backfly inlets for higher pressurization. Build quality is very good since the last 3 years, they improved their production a lot. When you order one, take a bit of slack into the measurements, they tend to come pretty tight. -
Alright, sounds doable! Anything important to know about the removal of plates and springs for the visor? Or just unscrew everything and it comes off?
-
Thanks for your response! What's the best way for "ripping out" the chin liner without damaging it? Just brute force?
-
Hi, has anybody customized his/her Cookie G3 helmet using hydro dipping? The shell has to be stripped from everything for dipping and I am a bit concerned about the removal of the visor mechanism and the glued in fabric at the chin & chinstrap. How did you do it?
-
The PPC ranking says Tonysuit Rebel3
-
What about Mirage's own semi-stowless bag? I am using one in my G4 for the second season and I am happy with it.

best all-around wingsuit for small people intermediate skill level
Fall0ut replied to jingmiao's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Intrudair Piranha2 Very similar to a Phantom but cheaper, one-piece zipper on front/legs and good build quality. -
Hmm... what happened to "the best pilot won" ?
