IMHO... get your schooling finished and make it a goal (reward) to get your AFF completed when you finish school. As a professional in the medical community, you will have time and money to do it as much as you like when you finish. My daughter is starting med school in August at USF and that is my recommendation to her. Just my 2 cents.

When you get a pay raise... forget to tell the wife and figure out how many skydives you can do with the extra cash.

It will clear up... the weekend looks good and mornings during the summer usually cooperate. It's not always like this.... the Perfect Spot has a pretty good selection of imports and domestic beers... and you can't beat the Cuban sandwich.

50? You got 30 more years of jumping if you keep fit! I am 51 and just started jumping in Sept. I now have close to 90 jumps. Wisdom comes with age! Go for it!

I guess I meant to downplay the fear part. IMHO fear puts a person in a position where they don't think clearly and are afraid to try anything new. No question this is a dangerous sport. In my short skydiving career...I have personally seen ankle breaks, a broken neck and a person end up in a wheelchair for life.

The only one I have found to be really comfortable is the Bonehead REvolve.... everyone I know that has one likes it...I have heard that it catches air at the chin, but that is the only negative I have heard.

I'm just a newbie, but IMHO I still believe this is a relatively safe sport if you practice what you have learned, keep learning and don't push the envelope. Unless a person becomes a introverted hermit...Risk is everywhere.

Can't wait.... I'll be there in the afternoon on T-W and all day jumping on Friday and Sat... let's hope the weather cooperates this weekend!

Hate that when I am hanging curtains in the raw and I fall off the ladder and get a tater stuck in my butt!!!

Deland has a buy to own program... put down a payment and never pay for rentals for like 6 months...a great way to progress without paying for a rig all at once. The only problem is you don't always get to jump the rig you want...sometimes it is being used by someone else.
I bought my container...then added a main and reserve over a few months. Worked great for me.

I say outta those caves! We have a compressor and mix Nitrox, but use straight gas over 160'... gotta love that narcosis
Now when the thermocline comes in on the Atlantic side...I wish I had a dry suit... we have had it as cold as 49 f at 100fsw... the lobster just lay there and let you grab em!

Chromy is an awesome tunnel coach...did 20 minutes with him last week. 20 minutes in the tunnel is like 20 freefalls.... you are gonna ace AFF.
