  1. It would be cheaper and easier to simply be honest. To this day they do not admit injuries were sustained, and have not officially retracted their false and misleading statements. It would be very easy for them to determine if that were the case. they would simply have to ask a reliable source rather than an unreliable one thay have clinged onto. The difference between you and me... I witnessed the injuries. What a great company...? Great product for sure, the company I am not so sure about. It is up to them to decide to tell the truth, or not! What is it about what I am saying that you disagree with?
  2. I am no here to argue with you, CX's have better quality, larger sensors that is for sure. But that is only of benifit if you have the right lens. The most popular lenses that you see most people using (liquid/cookie... etc) produce a blurry image around the edges and vignetting. Go pro does not. Have you compared a Go Pro on 720p v's a CX with a 0.2 black eye lens? There is no comparison, for hand cam or close up footage the go pro rules the roost. With the correct lens the CX shits all over the Go pro...
  3. There are 5 different settings on a go proHD. Anything from standard definition up to 1080p. If you record in full HD the picture is not as wide and you do not get as much on your card. Most people will not use the highest quality setting for mucking around so they can get more on the card... Unless you have a HD screen/tv/monitor then there is no use for HD. What you see on you tube there is not high definition. High quality maybe, but not hight definition.
  4. What setting was the Go Pro on? and what setting was the CX on? any filter? It looks as though the Go Pro was on on less tha full quality as on the highest quality setting it is about the same width as a 0.3. I am not so familiar with .55... The go pro footage is clearly much wider than the CX footage. Please clarify.
  5. then you videos are not High definition. They may be good quality, but not high definition.
  6. In April, before they made their modified publication, they made contact with me, they offered to fly me to their factory (from anywhere in europe) and show me around. I said I did not need assurance that their product was sound, I needed assurance that their word was sound. They did not reply.
  7. Not so difficult, the implications of the evidence are what is difficult, I am purely asking questions. Do you agree that an incident report should be filled for every significant incident? Do you also agree that an if an entity is to make a claim (in an official safety bulliten) that no injuries were sustained, then that claim should be backed by evidence and not hearsay? An official safety bulletin is no joke, had integrity and honesty been used from the beginning, this debacle would not exist. The APF have decided the silent treatment is the best answer, and Airtec have decided that dishonesty is the best answer... this leads to a very dangerous precedent and one I am not willing to accept. It seems many here are willing to ignore this reality, that is their prerogative. I have mine.
  8. The Go Pro shits all over any of the PC series or HC series cameras by a country mile! Many will say that Sony CX has better image quality than a Go Pro, and that 'is' the case if; You use a HD lens 'and' you record in HD 'and' you edit on specific software 'and' record onto blue ray disks... Most people that use CX series cameras will use liquid/cookie/etc lenses which produce grainy images with poor focus around the outside of the image. Also most people that use CX series cameras record in standard definition in order to speed up the editing process. Only if you record onto blue ray with all the above criteria will you have a HD video. It comes down to what editing system and computer you have to use.
  9. So Ad hominem and blind defence is all you have... Gotcha!
  10. I have looked for incident report. Does not exist! I have Airtecs statement and the letter from the sensor manufacturer... Airtecs statements do not add up. What information are you speaking of, I would appreciate it please.
  11. The instructor was badly bruised and his anus was ripped so his faeces were coming out of two orifices (one new one caused by a tear in his skin tissue). I would consider that an injury. He was out of work for over a week. Call it minor, call it what you will but there were indeed injuries sustained. The APF have been contacted to clarify the existence of an incident report. They have failed to respond to that question after numerous emails. Sure has, and it was only the instructors skill that saved the pair from very serious injury. It certainly does ‘look’ that way, though if you read the April 2008 publication carefully you will notice Airtec say they discovered the sensors failed by being exposed to high temperature 'after' the sensor manufacturer sent out the letter to their clients. The letter from the manufacturer explains exactly the parameters that needed to be met in order for the units to malfunction. That letter can be read in the post a couple above this one. So Airtec's story once again, does not add up. I have not seen anywhere at all where Airtec mention that their unit fired while under canopy, they do however go out of their way to mention that the other unit fired on the ground. Before the impending flame session and Ad Hominem attacks ensue, please be aware that clarification is all I ask for. If anyone has information to clarify the situation, it would me much appreciated.

He was out of work for over a week. Call it minor call it what you will but there were indeed injuries sustained. It was discovered on these forums recently that there was not an incident report filed. The APF have been contacted (again) to clarify the existence of an incident report. They have failed to respond to that question after numerous emails. Without an incident report, Airtec have no reason to conclude that no injuries were sustained (when in fact they were); their source of information has been proven to be unreliable. Sure has, and it was only the instructor's skill that saved the pair from very serious injury. It certainly does ‘look’ that way, though if you read the April 2008 publication carefully you will notice Airtec say they discovered the sensors failed by being exposed to high temperature 'after' the sensor manufacturer sent out the letter to their clients. 13. Go-pro shits all over a PC/HC tape camera... you just need editing software that can process it.
  14. I hear all the time from Sony buffs that the picture quality is better. Show me proof! 99% of people that use CX series cameras for skydiving used liquid/cookie/etc. lenses and use the cameras in standard definition to speed up the editing process. If you use one of these lenses you are instantly reducing the quality to less than that of a Go-pro. So, I agree with you that a CX with a HD lens and recorded in HD and burned onto Blue Ray is better than a GoPro HD burned edited in HD onto Blue ray as there are more advanced processes going on in the CX... I bet you do not know many people (if any) at all that use a HD lens, record and edit in HD and burn to blue ray. If you do then excuse me I am wrong. We actually sell our videos for $200 with photos and upload. No complaints yet. The moment you burn onto a standard DVD, everything you mention is lost into oblivion. What shits me is people claiming they have HD videos when they burn onto DVD anyway, that is ill informed false advertising and is against the law.
  15. I stand corrected, it has been posted before. I did look however so you may want to tone down the anger a little. You forgot to mention anything in your rant about the unexplained fatalities. These make up most of the Cypres fatalities... What are your thoughts on those? And Brooke? What about her. You say all that was made up by Aviacom? They fabricated the court house documents just to smear Airtec? I bet her mum would beleive that you are a little out of line there, wouldn’t you if you were in her shoes? Maybe if such outlandish claims of perfection were not made by Airtec, then we wouldn’t be having this conversation. You don't make that much sense. This tin foil hat ad hominem does nothing for an argument. If one is attacked for asking questions, then the other has something to hide. Just state the facts and make an argument, attacking someone does little for your credibility.
