    Eve

I'm pretty much a hard core Eve player/fan. Been playing everyday since 1. August. For me, it has been just what I was looking for. If I want to relax I do a bit of mining or agent missions. If I want excitment I join a group and go pirate hunting. Great stuff. :)
  4. I chopped once just 4 fun. I felt like a real idiot untill the reserve opened.
  5. Well, Camilla was his life long love. He married diana because Camilla was not approved of. (was she catholic? cant remember) Anyway, Diana turns out to be a total bitch so charlie goes back to his soul mate for comfort and a bit of hanky panky.
  6. About 900 ft using main. I have done a lot of 1500ft jumps. On this particular jump we were jumping into a party. Unfortunatly cloud base was about 850ft. To solve this problem and get into the party we adjusted our altimeters to read 1500.
  7. Its only one of the most sexy things in the world.

    Adkins Diet

Duce wrote: Can I ask if you know what caused the pain condition on your feet? Fallen arches? I'm interested because I am on a diet for the same reason. I was thinking about the Atkins diet but I have started on a Noka milkshake diet. Since monday I have lost about 10lb. A worm would taste good now.
  9. Tried to stay away but got to say it. I think swoopyswoop's post is probably one of the meanest, posts I have seen on Dropzone.com.
  10. I did 5 s/l jumps before freefall. I then got put back on s/l. I bounced between s/l and freefall for about 90 jumps. If I remember correctly I did about 67 s/l jumps. I was pretty damm good at them in the end.
  11. You think your Monday is bad. After 5 months of intensive physiothearpy for a back injury I was tested today to compare my physical fitness against when I started treatment. The results showed that I had gone up 5kg and my general fitness had decreased!!!! this is after training 5 days a week 2-4 hours a day.
  12. I agree it can be disconcerting to have someone unexpectedly touch your gear. However, as it pretty well happens on jump run you can be sure it is just a gear check. If you dont like it, get someone else to do a re check. Once on the ground explain to the person that you are uncomfortable with him/her checking your gear. You can also explain that you think it is not polite to do a gear check without asking. If you are too scared to confront the person, ask the manifest or an instructor to do it. If I am the jumpmaster on the load, I will make sure a 50 jump wonder gets a gear check whether they want one or not. As far as I am concered they are still a student to be looked after. Gear checks are there for a reason and should be taken advantage of.

  14. I have a Vapochill rig. Keeps my cpu at about -20 deg C. http://www.asetek.com/ At the moment I run my p4 2.2 at 2.8 p.s. I notice there is a person on dropzone.com who loves to make things clicky.
  15. I had a terminal reserve opening in 1977. In those days we were using chest mounted reserves. I had trouble walking for months afterwards but never went to a doctor. I suffered intermittent back pain and problemssince that day. In 1996 I got a prolaps in my back while packing. Once again I did not go to the doctor. The pain in my back became so constant that I had to stop jumping. Slowly but surely my mobility decreased and the back pain increased until in march this year I had to stop working altogether. In truth I had been to the doctor a few times but all I got was some asprin and told to come back in 6 months if it still hurts. The moral of this story is. If you got a problem, get it seen to. On to the question in hand. I am now seeing 2 chiropractors, 2 physiothearapists, 1 doctor & 1 Phycologist. (I live in Norway which is a welfare state so the goverment pays for everything, even my jobs wages) I am very happy with the chiropractors. they work closely together with my doctor. Very often the muscles om my back are so tight, the chiropractor cant get the bones to move. The doctor usually injects anasthetic into the muscles so the chiropractor can do her work. After so many years of not using my back, there is very little movement. I train with the Physiothearapists about four times a week. There job is to build up the muscles that have not been used for so long. One of them has the job of giving my back a massage twice a week as I am unable to relax the muscles myself. :) The Phycologist is there because all this is really depressing and painfull. :D there is also a good possibility that I will suffer back pain for the rest of my life. Sorry for the long post, but I see lots of people complaining of back pain. My advice is. Yes go see a chiropractor, they can probably help a lot. But give your back some time to recover. It is a really important bit. If a chiropractor doesnt help you, dont leave it there. seek help elseware. p.s. Sorry for the bad spelling
  16. Sound like Headcorn. Learning to pack on a Saturday can be a fustrating experience. Everyone is busy doing their thing. I think you would encounter this fustration at any busy DZ on a Saturday. Going down during the week is a very good idea. Try to make learning to pack a priority. Life is so much easier when you dont have to wait for others to check and teach. When I started jumping, the weather was bad for the first two weekends. On the advice of experienced jumpers I used the time to learn to pack. Got my packing certificate before I actually did a jump. Proved to be a tremendous advantage. I was out jumping while the other students had to sit around and wait untill someone could do their checks. good luck.

  21. Some years ago I experienced something like this. A three way of very inexperienced skydivers took a fairly long time to setup. The plane was a Skyvan. While they were getting ready a guy from the next group (four way) started screaming at them. He got right into their group shouting stuff like get the fuck out etc. The poor three way totally lost it, worried that there was some sort of aircraft emergency. They all fell out and had their jump totally ruined. He then took a floater position (facing in) and started screaming at his own team to get their act together. That was enough for me. I could not resist. I walked up to him and gave him a gentle nudge out the door. As I had helped them set up their jump (they were not very experienced either) I then took his position and had a great jump with his friends. Of course once on the ground the guy went apeshit demanding that I pay for his jump. I agreed to pay as long as he payed for the three way. He never did, but I never heard him shout at others again.
  22. I did my level 3 at another DZ. I just called ahead and made sure it was ok. I got extra points as I made the secondry aware that his chest strap was not done up while we were in FF.
