Thanks for the help, folks, when I call them tomorrow, hopefully I'll get some good news :D :D I can't imagine how cold -that- would be on the bits.... I'm pretty excited. looks like the DZ I wanna go to is $180 for the course and first static jump, then $40/jump for statics. Once I get the course and 4 additional jumps, I can move to freefalls at $25/jump. Does that sound reasonable? cavete terrae.

My first jump was on a PD 260. A lot of DZ's use Manta 288's. I don't think you'll have any problems. Most excellent, I'll be giving them a call in the morning :D Fortunately, they're only about 2 hours away from my home, and about an hour and 15 minutes from school, so if all goes well...muahahahha cavete terrae.

Heya- I'm new here, so I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I figure if it's not, the mods will move it anyway :D I've wanted to go skydiving for a long time now, and now that I'm finally old enough to afford it on my own(a dinosaur-like 20 years of age, yeehaw!), I've had friends mention weight restrictions and/or size restrictions. I'm about 6'3", 225-235lbs depending on season, and of very athetic build. Will this present any problems, perhaps needing a specially equipped DZ, or should most any DZ be able to handle someone of my size? cavete terrae.
