Is it ok to do a practice wingsuit deployment, ie two hands behind, without a wingsuit? Perhaps that would be too hard an opening without a wingsuit? thanks davelepka/tkhayes I think we're all on the same wavelength. Maybe where I'm confusing things slightly is that I was assuming that you "look up" to start to get the rotation happening, but then ideally agree once you're near vertical for opening shock the head would be back to in line with your body... So I think what you're suggesting is don't try to use a "look up with your head" method of starting the rotation, but use you legs moreso? From the point of view of stresses on the body (neck in particular) is it best to look after deploying for a second or so to get the body to start to become vertical and help deal with deceleration? (i.e. before you then stop looking at the opening canopy and look out for canopy traffic) Background: * Now jumping with more people the standard practice is to not look at your canopy when it's opening, but rather be looking out for other canopies and getting ready on rear rises to take evasive action if necessary. * So I've been doing this but I think I'm noting a bit more of the deceleration/whiplash effect & I'm thinking it's may be because I think I'm not looking up at all anymore when I deploy... Someone able to give the definitions for Atmo and then Angle jumps. Then what the differences therefore are. Can you cover body positions of the two. There are various resolutions/settings on the Hero3. Wondering what Format/Resolution people are using to fly camera on say 4-ways for example? For example: 1. Resolution - (each of these has "Ultra Wide" Field of View): * 1440p - 1920x1440, 4:3 - but then you'd have to crop to 16:9 if that's the output you want * 1080p - 1920x1080, 16:9 - seems a good choice * 960p - 1280x960, 4:3 2. thanks trunk - I'm not jumping cameras yet but, if you had an entanglement on a top mount then: a) I can't even imagine what it would be like - like wouldn't it feel like the likes were going to rip your head off or something? or hangon, we're talking about the bridal not the lines I guess correct? So is it a dumb question in fact re whether it's possible to have your lines entangle with a top mounted camera? b) if you did cutaway your camera/helmet would that potentially immediately clear the problem with your canopy opening. Ie just in relation to when you say jettison the helmet & then chop, would it really be jettison, observe outcome, then chop if necessary? Parachutist Game IOS Android YouT

In terms of a jump with say 8-way to 16-way in terms of numbers, what is the feeling re whether booties/boosters would be slightly better for safety at breakoff? Just wondering if you're on the outer ring and turn and track away without boosters, then there are some people in the base who turn and track with boosters they might be more inclined to go faster and catch up. I'm assuming the primary answer is it shouldn't make a difference as you're looking out for each other and making sure you're not tracking off in the same direction as another jumper. But still wondering from a secondary consideration point of view. (background is I prefer to jump without booties/boosters, but was just pondering whether I should consider using them for a tiny bit more safety at breakoff) Parachutist Game IOS Android YouT

update So did carefully move the audible to where my earhole is with my helmet on. Was actually much closer to the edge of the helmet than I would have thought, and also the pocket had much more room for adjustment than I realized.
