Great article. One thing I see a lot that you might want to add (forgive me if you did, I speed read through it). Do not ever by sight unseen, no matter who it is or how much you think you trust them. I run an escrow service through my rigging loft for this purpose. We receive the gear, hold in security, inspect for the buyer, confirm satisfaction then release only after seller has received payment. That way both parties interests are being looked out for.
