My home DZ is Skydance. They do have a hot water in the shower and place to set up your tent if you'd like to stay overnight, Super Caravan that takes you to 13k withing 15-20 mins and nice peeps to hang and jump with.

I've seen canopy Called PD Student - there is nothing listed on the PD Website. Is that re branded Navigator that available for DZO's only?

got 4 of them already, single is too small and double is just too big. They are soft and dont help much. :(

I need to replace my legpads on my Mirage RTS. It hurts like hell if i do anything under the canopy. I need something wide, but firm, I don't care about extra padding, I just need something that is not going to be bent over webbing. I was thinking to buy stock mirage legpads, but for that money I decided to shop around snd see if any other options available. I like the ones on our Icon rental I jumped before, really wide and firm. Any big boys who had similar problem?

With that amount of posts it seems like you are not new to dz.com I've seen a lot of post from peoples that been scammed by a "legit skydivers". Why not to use escrow? If there is no one to do escrow with in your area you may always do it with guys at chutingstar.

Fabric on some parts of the rig feels really soft. Did they use 500D cordura on some parts?

Just got a great deal on 2003 Mirage RTS with nice PR 281, but riser covers would pop out with slight move of the rig. I talked to a guys at Mirage and my rigger, all of them may do the mod. Anyone knows if that mod will help? I understand that 281 is huge a reserve and that's prpbably the case, but it's withing limitations. Size is M8. i will ask my rigger to do the mod to avoid shipping and keep my fingers crossed :)

What would be the best brand of the blow up girl to take with me for my 100th? i was thinking about Beyonce looking one, but it will have to be made from high quality latex and I will have to be able to pump some air on the way to altitude, and it will have to be able to hold high PSI and not explode at 5K on the way down. I will have to check in with my S&TA this weekend if I will be able to do this kind of shit. I bet I will not get a lot of reply's but PM is appreciated. bumping up an old thread. I was searching for all that cypress vs vigil threads and I just want to voice my personal opinion on why I choose Cypress 2 over Vigil 2. I've been building, fixing, upgrading PC's since mid 90 as my hobby and I do similar stuff for a living now. I do not have an experience with skydiving equipment, but I do have a lot with computers. I've seen a lot of machines from well known or not so known manufacturers that go past P.O.S.T. without any issues, but fail to boot, freeze, randomly restarted or just not working properly. 4 and 8 years check gives me a lot of confidence that something that was overlooked by QC guys is going to be noticed/fixed. Or if I wansn't taking care of my rig properly and unit/cutter got damaged or rusted ect. Difference in annual cost to own is only $65 a year. I agree that vigil is the great unit, but I made my choice. Max

Does SSK ship serviced units back without any insurance? I don't mind dealer to make a couple of bucks - especially if I do have to trade in my cypres 1 to get a $85 credit when buying new unit and it can be done via dealer only as per SSK.

SSK list their maintenance cost $160 http://www.cypres-usa.com/Cypsrv.pdf and dealer cost is $200. I will have to ship it anyway. Is that PDF from SSK site is outdated or may be dealer have something to offer for $40 more? What's a difference? Max

I'm surprised more people don't buy a Racer 2k3 Shadow (all black rig, no options, extremely well-priced) over the Dolphin as well... Para-service sells Wings with 30% off ($1400) base. I recently got quoted for shadow 2k3 and it was the same price as articulated wings. Take in consideration that you have to buy 2 pin AAD that cost about 150-200 more.

I did tried to find a used one - but most of them was used in the student rigs and I can't justify paying $400-$600 for these. 260 -280 sqf is hard to find :( I was going back and forth with New or Used, but I think I have my mind set on new.

Anyone knows the new prices or it's still a secret? I was waiting for my tax return to get a PD Student, but seems like I will have to look at other manufacturers for a big boy canopy
