  1. I have about 600 jumps on Sabre2 170-135, and 150 on a Pilot 150 loaded at around 1.3 and in my experience, the pilot has smoother and better openings. The Sabre2 tends to alter direction around 90 degrees during the final stages of the opening whereas my pilots where almost always on heading.
  2. I've been tasked with writing a series of DZ brief/instructions for a set of smaller/cessna dropzones around Norway. The brief is primarily targeted at licensed jumpers and should prepare them as much as a possible before arriving at the DZ. So far I've written a bit about the following: Landing area with alternatives Aircraft type and information Landing patterns Diagrams of the landing area and area around What else is relevant? Does anyone have any resources related to this, or perhaps even examples from your home DZs? I am especially interested in seeing how high performance landings are handled. My work so far is available for reference on evilspurv.net/fallskjerm/DZbriefforRakkestad.pdf
  3. He uses B12 buckles which come off really quick. Also, putting the rig on in the plane is not permitted and would thus invalidate the record (at least in most of Europe).
  4. I've done most of my jumps using a skytie to stow down my slider. It has worked out nicely, but when I changed canopy to a crossfire2, it started popping out of place every now and then. I've seen a couple of rigs where the risers has a set of loops sown into the lower part of the risers, to stow the slider in place. Does anyone have any experiences with this? Do different vendors have different ways of doing this? Are there any pros and cons with one or the other?
