  1. This is just one option one of the guys came up with. I think the 2 gopros in the 3D mount will work as well.
  2. http://www.sharemezone.com We upload all videos to our site free of charge as part of their video package, customers can instantly link their video to Facebook. Other social links will be available soon. Great response from it so far.
  3. We started shooting tandem videos with Sony CX-110's and stills with gopro HD's as IV (Instructor view) handycam dual setup with great results. Anybody know anyone else doing this or similar and if so, prices? Instructor share? Instructor editing or DZ editor? Thanks in advance for the input.
  4. Anyone using one camera for video and photos yet. It's just a matter of time but has anyone setup a video camera that takes stills while skydiving? Sony, and a few competing companies have a few camcorders out that perform this task. Anyone set it up yet and if so, how are your results? Thanks.
  5. Pretty sure he's not from England. The check was mailed from Canada, it had a Canada Post postmark on the envelope. I knew when I opened it and saw the amount that it was not good. Who sends that much more than the deal was for anyway. I didn't do any investigating before hand because I was not going to send the rig out without verifying the check. Thanks for your input. Again I posted it here so hopefully someone reads it making them aware before they get scammed.
  6. The short story; I had a rig for sale (which will be posted again soon). The potential buyer sent a cashiers check from England for $1,600.00 more than we agreed on. I told him after a short delay at my bank the check cleared, I'll be sending the rig soon. He wanted me to send the "overpayment" Western Union asap so he, and his pregnant wife, could put a down payment on an apartment, having to leave their present one due to landlord issues, then he would let me know his new address to send the rig. He called this morning wondering when the Western Union would be sent. I told him my bank would not let me withdrawal any cash until he sent a photo ID to verify his cashiers check as they were trying to verify it drawn on TCF National Bank in Burr Ridge, Illinois (an actual bank). Then I hear "Click" He's called several times over the past week, number blocked, and emailed several time, yahoo account. This is simply to alert you to be careful. Thanks.
  7. All great replies to this topic. Here's my addition. I've been involved in various video productions for a number of years, skydiving being one of them. I always imagine myself sitting with my customers while sharing their video (that I just produced) with their family and friends and not wanting to hear "can we get to the good part" or "fast-forward this, it's boring". What I DO want to hear is "That was awesome, can we watch it again?" I shoot enough so they understand what is going on but not so much that they get bored. If you have an editor work with them to make both your lives easier. The one thing that stuck with me after going to a video production seminar years ago was this..."anyone can have an editing suite full of the latest and greatest equipment, but regardless of the equipment, knowing how to use it is the important part." On the skydiving side the bottom line is, if you're not there, your not going to get the shot. PRACTICE!!! Before you charge $100 for a video, make sure your video is worth $100. Remember this, the video you're making is not for you, it's for your customer. Good luck.
