What are your goals? Just number of jumps? Something else skills specific? Etc? I would like to up jump numbers to start of with, but ultimately I would love to just jump till I drop. Long term goals and the main aim of this excersice is to firstly get in to wings uniting for which I need numbers and secondly I would like to get my tandem rating eventually.

Happy new year every one. It is that time of the year where we all have big plans. Mine was to have a serious chat to the missis. That day was today. I took my wife for a long drive and lunch and had a talk to her. I told her of my dreams and wishes for the future and what I would like to achive in skydiving. I have been at it for 15 years and haven't reached anything worth while. There is a couple of reasons for this and most of them is out of my controll. To make a long story short. I have a kinda hall pass...... 2 months of and a open wallet. Where in this world do I go where I can skydive for two months none stop. Somewhere where the weather is awesome the people great, the planes fast, the door high with cheap living available next to or even on the DZ? Perris, Dubai?

Enjoy, I am sure you will love it. Post some pics after your jump and let us know how you experienced it.

I went skydiving with some Special Forces soldiers one day. I managed to cock up my landing on their DZ on the first jump, and got a beautiful roastie on the side of my calf that was bleeding. As I was a cop at that stage I tried to not show pain or injury as I did not want to look like a sissy between these hardcore SF operators. I took a dry bandage from a medic and wrapped my roastie with this agains his good advice. My excuse, I did not want to bleed over the parachutes during packing. Boy was that a mistake. When I got home that evening their was no way to remove the bandage from my leg. The blood and plasma seeped through it fusing/welding/scabing it to my leg. My wife had to take me to the emergency room to remove it. Luckily none of these(SF) guys were there, cause I asked the Doc to put me out during the removal process. -

Thanks for the write up. I am very sorry I missed it.....next time -
Thanks every one. I found it quite interesting. I am happy to see I am not the only one doing some traveling
-
A couple of years ago, I was also able to travel 30min, how I miss those days. I promised the misses that if we ever need to move it would be to a DZ or at least neighboring one. I have got some serious catching up to do.

I am curious. How far do you generally drive to get to your closest DZ? My closest DZ is 250km from home, there is however no guaranties that they are operational when I get there, they weren't the last three months. This forced me to travel to other DZ's and they are all between 400 and 480km from home. Make me jealous or share in my pain

Never been to there home DZ. only jumped at there go-away in J-Bay. If there DZ is any where close as awesome as its members then it must be a awesome place as well. Definitely the friendliest bunch of Skydivers I ever had the pleasure jumping with.

Thank you. That is exactly what I was looking for. Blue Skies

My buddy stopped skydiving. He gave me his Z1 helmet to jump with. This helmet is fitted with a Skytronic Pro that looks like the one in the photo I attached to this post. He does not have the instructions for the Skytronic anymore and I was unable to find instructions on the Parasport's website or anywhere on this forum. Help with this will be much appreciated.

need advice on Tempo 150 reserve
Bushkey replied to skydivercowboy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I have one reserve ride on my Tempo150. Had no problems. I managed to follow my main effortlessly an landed accurately where it landed. Like I said, used it once with no complaints. -
Hi. I jump a ZP155(Chute Shop S.A.). I probably done about a hundred jumps on it. I bought it second hand. The previous owner according to him did about 200 jumps on it. I sent the canopy to a rigger friend of mine. He is busy relining it from micro-lines to HMA. The trim will also change from the original ZP trim to the newer ZP-EXE. What can I expect performance wise. Will there be a huge change in glide ratio, flare etc. or will the changes be moderate? Thanks.

Hi all I am new to the forum. I have been lurking around here for a while. Decided to register today. I have been out of the sport for the last 5years and started jumping again in December. Great to be jumping again. I stopped jumping as I started a new Business that consumed most of my time. Prior to this I was a Policeman. When I was a cop I had the time to jump but not the money. Now that I am slightly better of I don't have the time. That is Live I suppose. Blue Skies
