  1. Before we had so many rules. https://vimeo.com/218078861 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  2. Bigfoot is real, and has been skydiving for a long time. Haha
  3. I'm more than happy to send you my template if it is any help. I also would encourage you to contact Mick at Swoopware - his support is excellent. PM me if you wish. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  4. Tore my ACL completely in my right knee in 1994 and have never had it repaired. Done about 7000 jumps since - 5500 tandems - mostly out of a C172. When I tore it I was living in Tokyo and couldn't afford to have it operated on. Not covered here in NZ because I wasn't resident here at the time of the injury. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  5. Remember to wear a camera and record your journey - it will look a bit like this one where 'Chris' teaches himself to wingsuit base jump. https://youtu.be/OHUVHxyiw4o 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  6. My question is why you are interested in this option? I think it is fair to say that the pull out has been shown to be not the best system available. Why do you say that? Because of the countless reserve rides due to a floating / drpped pull out. Saw a cypres save because of that and the guy had been jumping pull outs for 20 plus years. He immediately had his gear converted to a BOC. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  7. I've always found recreational drugs most effective.

  9. One of my pet peeves is watching TIs heaving down on the MLW of the passenger harness just prior to exit - I feel that if you fit it properly on the ground there is no need for major adjustment in the aircraft. From my observations one of the downsides for those that do this practice seems to be an increased likelyhood of having your passenger thow up on you under canopy. My stats at the moment are 4 chuckers in 5000 plus tandems. I have 2 questions - Do you agressively tighten the MLW before you jump? What is your jump / chuck ratio?
  10. Sony Vegas and Swoopware. I can have the flashdrive in the punters hand with a video and photos on it before they have finished watching the video. About 2 mins to edit. And Micks (swoopware) after sales service is 2nd to none.
  11. Stupid statement - obviously never done a tandem from the slot beside the pilot in a C172 / 182. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  12. Looks like a snag issue to me. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

  14. I've got 5000 plus out of a C172 - that's a lot more work than 10 000 out of a turbine IMHO.
  15. Best you contact the DZs directly - NZ is a bit fucked up and has multiple part 149 organisations. Ballistic Blondes is a NZPO organisation and Bay of Islands is NZPIA. You need to join an organisation to jump at their affiliated DZs. Not sure of the cost but it shouldn't be too expensive. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

  17. Thanks - I smell bullshit. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  18. Went to my local tonight to be told about a program on TV about a tandem pair that got impaled on landing an. Details were vague. It was on Sky TV which means it probably happened some time ago. Does anyone have any info on such an incident? Thanks in advance.
  19. I seriously doubt that this happened but it is a good read.

  22. Not correct - Parachutes Australia has a 20 year life on all its containers including the Talon it makes under licence. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  23. And how about the potential to smack the passenger in the face with a piece of metal on a ropey opening. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  24. This would make handle checks a little difficult. Opinions please. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
