  1. I can get you some flysight data from successful XRW jumps if you want. I think I know what the answer will be but I can get you the data so you can see for yourself. Send me a PM if that works with your email and I will get raw data files. The flysight output is in an easy to use text format that can be used with Excel or multiple viewers. 2. I log all of my jumps (mostly wingsuit) with a Flysight and I don't turn it off until I land. Heck, sometimes I forget and leave it on for hours! So, I have canopy data but it is from a 150 with a pretty tame landing. Is that what you are looking for? Simon Summer Rental special, 5 weeks for the price of 4! That is $160 a month. 3. Thanks for the compliment. We wanted to try something a bit different for 2016. We are keeping the initial pilot/trail to a small group so that we can work through this minutia. When we add a suit to our inventory we will agree on an amount that will cover it's replacement if it is lost or destroyed. We will try and replace it where possible but we actually will accept older suit designs that are no longer replaceable. In almost 1000 suit/month rentals we have only had 1 suit destroyed beyond repair. Wear and tear is a bit harder to "define". Most of us know what it means. If it is the kind of wear you would get from flying for a month then that is wear and tear. If you like to keep your wingsuit white all crisp and bright then this isn't for you. This is for the folks that already lend their suits locally and aren't anal about the details. The biggest cleaning issue with out rentals is SWEAT! In the summer these suits come back as stinkers. A quick spin in a washing machine and air dry takes care of it, normally. Your compensation will cover a wash. The truth is this is a test, just like it was 5 years ago when we started renting. If we start to upset too many folks with damaged suits or if our insurance budget starts hurting we will just close the program. Simon Summer Rental special, 5 weeks for the price of 4! 4. Happy New Year Wingsuiters! We are starting up a pilot program for Peer-2-Peer wingsuit rentals that might be of interest to any of you with a few wingsuits laying around. It is kind of a wingsuit rental consignment meets match.com. Basically, you keep your wingsuit locally but we add it to our database. If we get a request for a suit that matches yours we will get you to ship it to the customer and share profits with you. Once compete it will ship back to you. There are more details to it that I will be happy to discuss with anyone that is interested. Either PM or contact us via email at simon at wickedwingsuits.com Simon Summer Rental special, 5 weeks for the price of 4! That is $160 a month. 5. We did it in 2008 and it really was a trip of a lifetime and for sure a skydive I won't ever forget. If you can't afford it then don't go, but if you are trying to decide between blowing your money on a nice car or an adventure you won't ever forget, I would pick Skydive Everest. To answer your question, how about you fill in your profile because experience levels affects some of the really cool choices. Summer Rental special, 5 weeks for the price of 4! That is $160 a month. 8. I guess if you define "close" it would help. For me close means walking distance but I guess for some it could be an hour drive. Summer Rental special, 5 weeks for the price of 4! That is $160 a month. Try before You Buy with Wicked Wingsuits - WingsuitRental.com
  9. Hey folks, what with wingsuit rentals being a bit slower during the winter season we decided to do a special. Rent for a month and get 6 weeks instead of the usual 4! That should also help with the worse weather conditions that even some dropzones in warmer climates have during the winter. You know where to find us!
  10. Depending on where the person is coming from that isn't always a viable option due to connections or cost. I agree that Ontario is a better choice, and then I prefer San Diego over LAX. 15. It is a valid observation. We have always tried to be clear that we are a "rental" company with the goal of keeping people flying while they decide on what suit they would like to purchase for the long term. We also avoid anything larger than an S-Bird because we feel a lot of time should be invested in an advanced suit before going to expert and most people will need to own that advanced suit to get the experience. So, we have just a few S-Birds for those waiting for their advanced suit to be made or that just have commitment issues. A "demo" company has to come at the problem from a different direction and really has to stay on top of all the latest designs. However, we are seeing and hearing the demand for a demo solution and are looking into options to help out. We are always happy to listen and I can be contacted here, via email or on our FB page. 16. Seems like it would be a cool idea to have an industry event with lots of suits to try with different organizers under different conditions..... Summer Rental special, 5 weeks for the price of 4! That is $160 a month. Try before You Buy with Wicked Wingsuits - WingsuitRental.com
  17. A technique worth trying other than dropping knees to slow down is to lift heels. This removes tension in the tail and adds drag on top of the tail but without creating the float you get when dropping knees into the "sit". I haven't tried it on all suits but is works on many. 18. Firstly, thanks for the love. It's a good question and if you want to do true acrobatics at the competition level you need to keep in mind the "fruity loop" move. It's a front loop and the tail on the suits you have listed will prevent most regular flyers from pulling one off We had success in a T Bird and the Honey Badgers did well in S-Fly. The P3 a team had busted it nicely also. There is a prototype in the works at TS to focus on modern acrobatics at the FAI and National level, and I expect there will be more across the board for next season. It is exciting and fun stuff which makes a nice change from flocking and performance. This stuff is just growing and growing!!! Bottom line is, don't buy an acro suit just yet and you might get a better model in the spring. If you don't want to compete then it isn't a factor. Summer Rental special, 5 weeks for the price of 4! 19. Altitude is your friend and gives you a bit of time to work a problem, but you have to factor in a lot of variables, quickly. I don't think you can have just a single decision altitude but you can have a minimum that gets increased based on other variables. Mine is 2000 but I have found myself increasing it due to additional hazards, which have included: - Being over the middle of a deep forrest and needing to get under a controllable canopy so that I could clear it, even though the line twists were stable. Same happened to me over a swamp! - Being in a huge wingsuit and knowing that the risk of getting into another set of reserve line twists is an issue. Bottom line is that chopping too high is far more of a forgivable offense than too low! Summer Rental special, 5 weeks for the price of 4! That is $160 a month. 20. The Firebirds of that era have silver wings, at least the ones I have flown/seen. Not sure how well that material would pressurize on a modern suit. Summer Rental special, 5 weeks for the price of 4! That is $160 a month. Try before You Buy with Wicked Wingsuits - WingsuitRental.com

  22. Are you considering what the MSL altitude is? I jump from coast to coast and in the middle. I find that sea level dropzones will often hit 13.5 every time but in Utah and Colorado it's a good days to get 12.5 or 12, but in reality that altitude is 18k and aircraft performance and airspace issues are different up there. You will find yourself paying more in Colorado to get 12.5 than you will in Florida for 13.5, but that's simply because of the MSL. Even inland CA dropzones tend to be a couple of grand above sea level. Summer Rental special, 5 weeks for the price of 4! That is $160 a month. 23. A flysight is the best way to solve this problem. I use it as my Paralog logger. The viewers allow you to override where the exit and opening are if that algorithm gets it wrong, which is still can do on a strong flare with altitude gain. A flysight is almost mandatory equipment for wingsuiting these days. Between the logger, flyblind and audible alarms it really is purpose built for what we are doing. 24. The Quattro is a must if you ever want to compete in PPC due to it having settings above 9999ft. The use of flysight for the window has made audibles mostly unnecessary but they are still a good backup for when a GPS quits on the way to altitude. 25. Agreed on this. When you parade around showing off your rig there is a good chance it will get a security guys back up, they are still human and can cop an attitude. If I do carry mine on it is in a carry on and 9/10 it goes through the x-ray without a word being said. Summer Rental special, 5 weeks for the price of 4! That is $160 a month.
