  1. Get the word out! http://www.popsworldmeet.com Dan
  2. and one last thing - I think this thread will become more active once the US authorities (FBI, etc...) start to expose the illegal practices of News Corp on US soil. Hacking phones of 9/11 victims, firemen. I hope this is the start of the downfall of the Murdoch dynasty. Goodbye Fox News.
  3. I loved some of the comments after Murdoch & Son's appearance before the select committee: rupert = mr burns, james = smithers, rebecca brooks = side show bob and even krusty the clown throws a pie. Irony is that the simpsons tv series is owned by Fox TV.
  4. Was it always too loose? Maybe your closing loop is too long. What kind of gear is it? F111 or ZP?
  5. I sold my gear and got out of parachuting in 2003 and started jumping again last yea on rental gear in Maruya, Australia. They've got great rental gear and well maintained planes. I was really happy with the rental gear is it was Javelins - same as what my old gear was. I just took delivery of my new Jav so rental no longer an issue.

    Why Velcro?

You don't have magnets on the bridle? Hmm, weird Nice! The magnet looks great! What rigs use this method?

    Why Velcro?

That velcro is (as others already have said) only to show how much slack there should be, so there is no need to replace it once it wears out, just make sure you still put the bridle at the same spot to get the same amount of slack. Without wear being an issue, what's the problem with it? A simple line sewed/painted to the bridle and the rig would work just as well, but people that don't read manuals would not get it, but they do seem to mate the velcro. Nothing wrong with it other than not being a fan of velcro. It's good to hear everyone's thoughts on this thanks.

    Why Velcro?

Hey Jerry, Thanks for reminding me about these - forgot I guess - never had to use them!

    Why Velcro?

Yea - I understood the need for it - or something to hold the slack - but surely they can figure out a way to loose the last piece of velcro on the rig?? It just annoys me that's all...

    Why Velcro?

I just started jumping my new Javelin and love the rig but can't understand why Sunpath hasn't figured out a way to loose the last bit of Velcro on the bridle next to the main closing pin :-(

    FXC Model 12000

During my AFF training (level 6 jump) back in 1985 my FXC 12000 fired my reserve off at 9,000 ft. Both of my instructors looked up at me as I was yanked out of their arms. At first they though I had pulled my rip cord but on the ground I showed them that it was still neatly stowed in the pocket. It turned out that the jump manifest lady on the ground was supposed to 'zero' the FXC then 'set' the preferred opening altitude. She didn't 'zero' it and instead only turned it to the opening alt.
