  3. Just a question,is there a formula for figuring landing speed based on increase or decreased weight on same canopy. For instance if I gain ten how much more speed does that weight cause?. 6. American fascism: by political definition the US is now fascist, not a constitutional republic, we were never a democracy. Democracy is gang rule "two wolves and a sheep arguing over whats for supper"guess who wins that argument. The OP requirements are not the best standards of a fascist nation. The definition of “fascism” has some academic variance, but is essentially collusion among corporatocracy, authoritarian government, and controlled media and education. Take a half hour and read Carl Herman's article, including the links. Carl Herman is a National Board Certified Teacher in economics, government, and history. Yes folks we are and have been a fascist country for a while. But feel free to delude yourself as much as you wish. http://www.examiner.com/article/american-fascism-by-political-definition-the-us-is-now-fascist-not-a-constitutional-republic Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. 8. Not sure about other states but in Texas. NO means NO, her relationship to you is a mute point. Normiss is 100% right, at least in Texas. Its her body, you need permission to uhm "borrow it". Talking her into said borrowing is half the fun anyway. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”
  9. I don't have a problem with anyone defending himself cop or not. But come on 46 rounds, thats tad bit excessive. Part i find actually bizarre is they didn't tase him, they tase everyone else from old ladies to wheel chair riding people. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. 11. What exactly is the Stampede? I wasn't there but were they inviting them to a bar or what? He said himself the two looked bewildered at his comment, I was wondering if it was just a cultural thing. Were they being friendly and he misunderstood? Example my X father in law, at first meeting was a loud mouthed ass, but after getting to know him he was a great guy. He was still loud though, guess its a Yankee thing. 12. I don't have a bit of problem with drawing a line and saying "this person isn't capable of knowing wrong from right". I'm not sure IQ would be a good litmus test for that but there has to be a starting point. The problem is, the courts wont stick to it, not here in Texas or any where. Look at juveniles, Two can commit the same identical crime and one is charged as an adult the other as a minor. An IQ based system would be just as riddled with problems. A good argument can be made that serial killers by the very nature of their crimes are not sane. I just am not sure IQ alone is enough of a defense. But hey I'm a farm boy, its not like anyone listens to me. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”

  14. Odd that everyone that uses the bible to prove the death penalty is wrong uses one verse (Exodus 20:13) KJV "Thou shalt not kill". No need to use just the old testament, Jesus did support the death penalty and He left a hearty biblical record proving the point. Jesus has been so remade by the modern world into a mix of Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa and Tiny Tim that they cannot see the Jesus clearly portrayed in the Bible. Consider this: the Mosaic Law very strongly supported the death penalty in 21 different situations I believe. Jesus never once disobeyed the law or taught against it. He said, "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil" (Matthew 5:17 ). The law made numerous provisions for the death penalty. Jesus did not come to destroy these provisions but to fulfill them. As such, He would have supported the death penalty. This has been argued here and all through history, not much chance it will be solved now. Its just annoying people try to use biblical reasons or a supposed moral reason when theres no evidence either is valid. Ok so he has a low IQ, what do you do with him? Institutionalize him for life? Is that a real option, or is it just a way to wash our hands of a distasteful job. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”
  15. Historically after a state adopted or did away with death penalty there has been a spike or low depending on which action was taken. Main problem with us throwing statistics out about murder rate is theres a second component. I would think the primary reason for the drop across the US is firearm ownership. Not sure how to prove any of this either, just seems to make sense. Raping, killing and general pillaging aren't as much fun or as profitable if all victims are packing. 17. Since I'm still a student we cant use gloves but if you get a chance try SSG Blue Streak Flex Fit Roping Gloves. Roping calves from a horse the rope is hell on your hands. these gloves are almost like not having them, feel wise but are warm and protect your hands. Most western stores carry them and best news is they are inexpensive, 26 bucks for a dozen. Most ropers only wear them on one hand but they fit either hand and comes in 5 or 6 sizes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asvMmuAAqiM Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. 18. Normiss this isn't directed at you, its my opinion and your the OP http://debatepedia.idebate.org/en/index.php/Argument:Capital_punishment_has_a_deterrent_effect_on_criminal_activities Texas, executes more murderers than any other state. According to JFA (Justice for All), the Texas murder rate in 1991 was 15.3 per 100,000. By 1999, it had fallen to 6.1 -- a drop of 60 percent. Within Texas, the most aggressive death penalty prosecutions are in Harris County (the Houston area). Since the resumption of executions in 1982, the annual number of Harris County murders has plummeted from 701 to 241 -- a 72 percent decrease. Like it or not the death penalty works, at least it works if you use it. The 5th Amendment to the Constitution says: "No person shall be ... deprived of life ... without due process of law." The 14th Amendment says: "No state shall ... deprive any person of life ... without due process of law." Perhaps that due process was not to peoples liking but he got it. No where in our founding documents that I know of does it give an exemption for having a low IQ as a defense. The Ten Commandments forbid murder, not killing. The chapter following the giving of the Ten Commandments has a number of commands from God to execute criminals, including: "He who strikes a man so that he dies shall surely be put to death." Ex. 21:12 If memory serves me it did not say that there was a low IQ limit. Jeffrey Dahlmer raped, killed and ate parts of at least thirteen men. As punishment, the government was planning to feed, clothe, educate, medicate, entertain, and legally represent him for the rest of his life. Families of his victims would pay taxes, in part, to keep Dahlmer comfortable, warm in winter and cool in summer. That type of punishment should scare the dickens out of other mass murderers. Its easy to sit and formulate opinions when its some guy in another state and his victim wasn't even known by you. Most peoples righteousness dwindles quickly if it had been your wife, husband or child. I am a Christian and a constitutionalist and I approve this message. 19. oops didn't notice that part, but you would think if he were up to no good he would have had his body armor on. Not that his actions aren't a tad strange even for redneckville. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”

  25. If money alone is the main issue try a Mosin Nagant. Its a WW11 Russian rifle, the advantages are not bad. You can grab one cheap and the ammo is also cheap. Ballistics aren't drastically different than a 30.06 Only disadvantage is surplus ammo which is plentiful and far cheaper doesn't expand much. I have a M44 and its one most reliable weapons iv shot.
