  1. Thanks for the replies, i think i might as well go give it a shot again. No need to live out a life on the couch. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”
  2. OK I dont feel quite as old now. Not sure how others are but id be happy pulling at 10,000 feet, i just like the ride better than free fall. I think thats why i took up flying, i can stay up there longer. At least the plane puts me to where i can jump lot more places. Thanks for in put. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”
  3. I have been member here long time but rarely post. I started lessons and after 9 static line jumps I quit so I could fly. Wasn't practical to do both at once. So now years later I'm a pilot and fly often but I still stop and watch jumpers. Jumping still holds a lot of fascination to me. Question is at what point do people need to give it up? I'm 55 years old and healthy but I defiantly am not a 20 year old any longer. Opinions are welcome, Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. 4. We do agree on the point of not talking to them. I told my son that and his response was he had nothing to hide. But its not the cops business why I'm driving on this street or where I'm going. They get a name and an ID, any more questions I get a lawyer. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”
  5. every woman is beautiful anyway. Well except the X. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”
  6. Every time I try to grow veggies they turn into this. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”

To be fair, the title did start the downward trend. Its all in fun, thats why we are here. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”

I took Stihl training the last few days, through the class we took a tour of the plant. That ceiling fan was so cool, I know its odd the ceiling fan impressed me. It was 24 feet across and amazingly quiet for the air it moved. http://www.bigassfans.com/product/powerfoil-x20-plus/ Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. 10. OK maybe I'm missing something. Why would being under canopy at 13k be dangerous? Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”
  11. My phone isn't the best camera out there. Left my camera in the car at work and it got borrowed. Its a diesel, was right at 160 HP and 440 lb-ft from the factory, its near 400 HP and 900 lb-ft now, it doesn't have any problems pulling. Not to mention in an 1/8 of a mile it will eat a stock mustangs lunch. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”
  12. I haven't been able to jump or fly in the last 4 weeks. I don't get weekends off and my days off aren't together, so its hard to go and do some things. I try my best not to sit around because I get bored very fast. I guess if you like trucks you might enjoy the pics, I went from ugly faded blue to the end result in 4 days of actual work. I'll be driving it to wotl in the morning. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”
  13. Are you drinking again? Justice Scalia commented in a speech in 2005, “The Constitution is not a living organism… it is a legal document. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”
  14. “The condition that an operational leader present an imminent threat of violent attack against the United States does not require the United States to have clear evidence that a specific attack on U.S. persons and interests will take place in the immediate future,” Quote from the article. How can anyone not have a problem with this? It would be different if the person was convicted or if they just had proof. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”
  15. I was sitting reading in speakers corner and I realized that we spend so much time looking at and dwelling on the evils of our time, that we often over look the joy. We post about firearms, taxes, economic woes only to cover a few. We often bicker about things (usually in fun) but very few of us seem to dwell on the great times. Any time theres a death we all post happy thoughts from the past, but that doesn't last long. So lets have a thread about the good, the things that make us smile a bit. We all jump (no matter your experience level) to forget woes and to have fun. What has skydiving done for you? Are you happier now? It might be a bit corny but if we can have multiple threads about what an assault weapon really is cant we have as many about things we love? Hell I'm not shy I'll go first. Hi my name is James, I am addicted to jumping. What this sport has given me is 1~ I quit smoking to help fund it. 2~ I lost a shit load of weight just so I could jump. So as of November the 21st I am 55 years old, I no longer smoke and I lost 74 pounds. 225 pounds is nice to see in mirror these days. I no longer have to take meds for blood pressure. I'm still scared shitless of heights but I can deal with it. Its not all bad these days. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.”
