I'm with you, I never wanted kids, did my utmost to not have kids, but surprise! Now, I can't imagine my life without them.

  3. Wendy, I don't think people aren't getting what you are asking. Maybe, the thread should be retitled "What advice do you wish someone had given you before you learned the hard way" or some such. Or just rename it "The worst advice you ever got" because that is what they appear to be posting. lisa lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

  9. Sheesh! Take responsibility for your own posts. . I mean, what's going to happen, now that the idea of stray Lone Rangers taking over has been put out out there, because of an ill-thought response to a post? We could be overrun by a host of "High-Ho-Silver"ing". It's the stuff of nightmares lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

  15. I had to look up what a Fabio book cover was. Do you mean the pictures on the cover of romance novels? There are quilting methods that use photographs as the basis for fabric art. If I ever take one of those classes, I'll ask you to send me a picture of yourself. Fabio has hair lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

  17. Well, as long as he doesn't take you up on that, all's good! I'm assuming the gear issue would probably do that. eta: Well, wasn't that high and mighty on my part. Not the intention I had. Sorry lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9
  18. Unfortunately, probably not an option to a student. Or, if an option, not the smartest idea. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9
  19. I guess a lot of it would depend on what you would define as "traumatic". When my daughter was a pre-schooler, I walked into the room where she was, as she was starting to put a set of keys into an outlet, I launched myself at her. I took her down. We both had quite a few bruises (understatement). The outlet was smoking, the key was bent, and it left a huge black mark on the wall. My daughter was screaming, (so was I as I leapt at her). Is that abuse? She was definitely traumatized! We were both black and blue. If traumatization is the go to jail card, I guess I'd be there. All I can say is: She never tried that again. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9
