  1. . Yes Jo. That is the sketch. However, I remember the episode and Florence stared at the sketch with a solemn look on her face when it was shown. She said something similar to...That is him, that is the guy. If the sketch did not look like what she was trying to depict,, why was she so adamant about confirming the artists rendition? Unfortunately the episode was pulled from YouTube. Melvin Luther Wilson - Missing Person since September 1971: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03QLnFvk8Fs
  2. THAT angle has me very interested. Snow and I did a lot of research on the uses of bismuth possibly in combo with the other metals. What kind of environment exposed your suspect to bismuth? I dont get too excited about suspects whose image matches the FBI sketch. I've seen too many police suspect sketches end up being way way off base from the actual perpetrator's appearance. The Cooper sketch may be accurate or it may be inaccurate. The problem is that we won't really know until Cooper is ID'd by some other evidence. A Canadian working in a titanium foundry might fit with TK's evidence and hunches. The pure (non alloyed) Ti is of special interest. Put that in combination with bismuth and your choices narrow significantly. Too bad about no radios, but I can handle it... 377 As shown on Unsolved Mysteries, there is this additional sketch as described by Florence Schaffner. The UM episode is no longer on YouTube, but I captured the image and saved it to my files. It is quite different than the FBI's official sketch. Florence was absolutely convinced this sketch was "the guy". I've seen that photo. it can't be correct, it doesn't look like KC or Duane Wasn't Flo under tripple-hypnosis when that drawing was done? It' a tale of ten cities competing. With the crown finally going to Florence for a thirty-day trial - which has longsince expired. I am not sure what Unsolved Mysteries did to Flo, but they made me wear a flower in my hair. Then the director and crew took my sisters and myself out for dinner and drinks. My post was a attempt at showing that each witness has a different perspective and the sketches are not an end all, be all, conclusion. 4. There was a flood in dec 1978, the place was a HUGE mess with illegal dumping all around it, the dump was essentially in the Slough, there were also hundreds or maybe a thousand gulls routing through the trash that may have dislodged a brown paper bag.. there are many ways that the cash could have made it into the Slough from the dump, the harder explanation/speculation is the "container" float to TBAR, money intact.. it is extremely unlikely that the cash floated on its own. A paper bag fits... There was a theory that someone had posited earlier in the forum regarding the arrival of the money on Tina/Tena Bar. The tied bank bag washed up on the banks of the river with the raging water of the Spring floods. The bag was partially deteriorating and the money fell out of the partially open bag. When the flood waters raised again the bag was pulled back into the river with the tide and a portion of the money was left on the shoreline. The receding water deposited sand over the money. I do not remember who brought this up, but I thought it sounded like a plausible theory. Melvin Luther Wilson - Missing Person since September 1971: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03QLnFvk8Fs
  5. (Guessing here, since Mitchell first says he didn't notice Cooper being swarthy or dark skin tone, but then says he didn't recall seeing a pretty white guy. This doesn't make a lot of sense. I would have to listen to the audio to see if the transcription is correct. I would guess Mitchell actually MEANT to say he didn't recall seeing anything but a pretty white guy. Hard to tell what he really meant there. If the audio is accurate with the transcript, then this question should be re-addressed with Mitchell.) NOTE: I don't believe Mitchell was interviewed by Geoff Gray. I think the only Mitchell testimony Gray used was from Gray's access to the FBI witness reports. In that, Mitchell claimed the hijacker was no more than five foot nine. Quote from the Dawn Andrusko interview, sister of Bernie Geestman: ***'I asked her if Kenny had ever worn a toupee. She said yes, but added that he never wore it on the job, only socially sometimes and not very often. I pinned her down on the last time she had actually seen him wear it. No, she said, she had not seen him wear it after 1971. He had taken to wearing baseball hats instead...' Edit: No need to bother Porteous on this one. Mitchell's contact info and address is public record. I am printing up material for him right now. I'd like to say somthing about the interview done by the museum. These folks are great at running a museum. Proof is in the results of the museum. But in my humble opinion, they are lousy at doing effective interviews, and missed several key questions they could have asked, and failed to follow-up with clarification requests when Mitchell gave the occasional confusing answer. They also kept cutting off his answers with new questions, without clarifying his previous responses. Poor interview technique, but interesting interview anyway. One good rule of interviewing is this: If people are going to ramble in their responses, let them finish doing so (without cutting them off) and record everything. According to the following article, Mitchell has already given an answer on Christiansen. http://voices.yahoo.com/1971-db-cooper-letters-linked-suspect-william-gossett-7516448.html Melvin Luther Wilson - Missing Person since September 1971: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03QLnFvk8Fs
  6. and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SrXFRWPEk4 I may be a little bias, but here is this amazing young 23 year old girl singing a solo performance of Take Me to the King at church last Christmas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlmlboy2kVU WoW! Listened to the whole thing. She can belt it out! Very nice. With a voice coach she could go places.... very nice.
  7. Vicki, this is going to get worse. Maybe you should get your application to AA in right now. I'll be there myself before long. Robert99 You have to apply to AA? I thought it was supposed to be anonymous! I guess that just shows how out of touch I am with the real world. Can I bring my shrink along? Sure, it's anonymous. Bring your dog, if you like. Okay, fine. I have another question which 377 should be able to answer. Can we fill a class action lawsuit against NBC? Audra McDonald's singing of "Climb Ev'ry Mountain" last week blew my socks off and I haven't been able to find them. Does NBC have insurance to cover this? As a minimum, NBC should have posted a warning to: "Tape your socks on, tighten your shoe laces, and fasten your seat belt." before the lady sang that song. Robert99 This sounds like the Tina Arena performance of Star Spangled Banner a number of years back. She's Australian. It was amazing. She is amazing! Who is Tina Arena? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COpFMrUoxXc and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SrXFRWPEk4 I may be a little bias, but here is this amazing young 23 year old girl singing a solo performance of Take Me to the King at church last Christmas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlmlboy2kVU Melvin Luther Wilson - Missing Person since September 1971: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03QLnFvk8Fs
  8. And in other news..... http://variety.com/2013/film/news/will-ferrells-daddys-home-gets-california-film-tax-credit-exclusive-1200946262/ Interesting...who are the three? Geoff's book covers four --Kenny Christensen, Barb Dayton, Duane Weber and Richard McCoy. Somebody's estate is going to get stiffed! The estate of the guy who was actually DB Cooper is going to lose out. But of course he died in the jump and nobody knows who he was. In the meantime, every one who can possibly do so is getting a book out on their candidate. It's called ca$hing in. And they don't have to know anything about their candidate or even the Cooper hijacking. Whether fact or fiction, the only thing that matters is the color of the money. Robert99 It could be anybody. Someone asked Geoff after his talk what was going on with his movie. It sounded like the only involvement he had was cashing a check and he was otherwise totally out of the loop on it. I think that's where I heard it. Vicki, do you recall anyone asking Geoff that? Or, did I dream it? He was asked while we were at the Swiss Pub. He said he was not involved with the production of the movie and it was not a sure thing at that point. This was right before he told me he had never heard of Melvin Wilson. Then I had another beer. 13. I just realized they have different middle names Jack Albert Collins (Bradley's father) Jack Gore Collins (US Asst District Attorney) Quite the coincidence. If Jack is the hi-jacker, then Jack signed his indictment. Melvin Luther Wilson - Missing Person since September 1971: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03QLnFvk8Fs
  14. 377 Here is a picture of Jack Collins. Looks similar to the sketch....he must be the one!!! You can read the first few pages of the book here http://www.scribd.com/mobile/doc/185096476 Reply: I just spoke with Robin Collins, Bradley's wife. She's not a kook! Whew - and she described what sounds like a very deliberate and sound approach to an important family story. Bradley was out, but I expect to talk with him soon. Their book is due out Friday for public distribution in print form. Their pub was some outfit in the UK. Robin and Bradley may be coming to the shin-dig Friday at the WSHM. Robin also told me that she and Brad had been at the Cooper exhibit's opening day and spoke with Tom Kaye. Robin also said that she is a big time reader of the Mountain News! I love her already, although not as much as Mooshie, of course, but 377 knows that and understands. He understands so much.... I found the following with Jack Collins name on the Check Six website:http://www.check-six.com/Crash_Sites/NWA305-DBCooper.htm And this: http://www.osbar.org/publications/bulletin/05nov/profiles.html Another article from the Oregon State Bar. 16. 377 But I only have one brother and his name is David.... Vicki, We will let Dr. Phil sort it out on daytime TV. I'll bet you could punch Collins's lights out. You up for it? Be careful on that new motorcycle. I've known more jumpers who died on bikes than in skydiving accidents. What's with these 60 page (and less) books? They are more like short stories. Happy Thanksgiving. 377 Happy Thanksgiving, Mark. I promise to be careful and watch other drivers, don't ride crazy and tailgate others (this will be difficult), only ride during the daylight hours, watch for deer and road debris. And.... would I really punch anyone out? OK...I promise to be good while in Tacoma and Ariel. Geez... and if not, will you by my defense attorney? 19. This is after he went and changed in the bathroom and put the toupee on and used mascara to completely darken his hair all the way. GC 148 Oui Oui Dan Coupier' However, Bill Mitchell was sitting in the same row of seats as Cooper. Cooper went into the bathroom after the passengers and two stews/one pilot left the plane. How could Mitchell see the supposed toupee? and what did Cooper change into? Was he using mascara to change into an ugly woman? Was that his disguise? Did Tina give him the mascara? Let's face it. What is needed here is a re-interview of Mitchell, with a prepared list of questions in a relaxed format. I have heard Cooper spent some time in the bathroom, but Mucklow never mentioned anything about his appearance changing after he emerged. GreyCop may have picked that mascara stuff from the Richard Floyd McCoy hijacking: Part One of the Musika Farnsworth article from Parachutist Online. Part Two. Vicki: It's occurred to me that if DNA samples from the letters were made public...even if the Citizen Sleuths are responsible for the testing of the letters...and you could provide a DNA sample to the Tom Kaye Gang...a match would be too much for coincidence. You have to think on WHY someone would send such a letter. Mostly they are phony, or from nuts or fans of the crime. And yet..sometimes they are NOT, as in the BTK or Scorpio cases. A match to your father, in my humble opinion, would be overwhelming evidence he was Cooper. Sailshaw wants the DNA on the letters tested and compared. I have never given any inclination I wanted the DNA on the letters compared to Melvin Wilson. Melvin Luther Wilson - Missing Person since September 1971: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03QLnFvk8Fs

  21. It is not FREE. It is paid for by the government. The government funds the FBI from taxpayer money, this includes the lab at Quantico. To clarify your other comment about the toupee, it is up to the readers interpretation. The following is script from his interview. The interviewer cut Bill Mitchell off mid sentence so we really do not have the complete story. However Mitchell contradicts himself within the following statements. 22. Mr Sailshaw the Reno letter has Ken's name in it,and the phrase,Kenney was Cooper. This test is only 50 buck's. But it's free in Quantico Virgina for Curtis E. See for yourself...... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atTJ_aEA8WQ it it has Ken's name in it GC 148 ps: The Canadian Letter is 71 not 74 I was corrected thank's Really? Free? I am sure someone has to pay for the test, including the time it takes for the forensic team to make the comparisons of the DNA samples. 24. Here is the link to the Mitchell interview http://collections.washingtonhistory.org/details.aspx?id=122559 Cooper was indeed a scrawny, white turkey neck, fake looking hair, geeky, suit wrinkled, intimidated by Mitchell, RAGBAG Mitchell gives every detail of his experience w/ the bureau post touchdown... Hey...this hurts my feelings a little bit. RAGBAG attached. well it shouldn't ... I would be glad if my relative was NOT DB Cooper. However, in mine and my brother's case. We were left abandoned by our father with no idea were he went. More importantly, why he never contacted us again? Why was he never found?...I believe it would be a source of closure. So in our case we would be relieved if he was Cooper. In a recent email from my brother he referred to finding out about the DNA comparisons as "a Christmas Present".... 25. Doesn't E. Vicki's dad have that chin characteristic? Why not show Mitchell a lineup of photos? Round up the usual suspects. 377 I would highly suspect he has already seen and made a call on any and all suspects If it turns out Mitchell says NO on all the favorites... you know what that means.. Can we all please dispel our personal feelings and just listen to what Mitchell says ?? he is putting us on the plane right next to Cooper He is used to getting attention from cute girls (not on this three hour flight ) Hell yes he is focused on Coopers appearance and we should be too According to Eng, Melvin Wilson was never investigated and is not a usual suspect or favorite. Personal feelings aside, Melvin seems to have been dismissed (Eng looked at his FBI file right before the news about LD hit the airwaves) and I believe he should be looked at. He is a wanted fugitive who disappeared in September 1971. We have the FRS DNA samples and fingerprints at another DOJ agency. Eng is not returning calls or emails from this agency. They want to send the samples to Quantico for comparison. Melvin Luther Wilson - Missing Person since September 1971: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03QLnFvk8Fs
