  1. It is what they call "Tandem 2" I'd like to get to the point where I can skydive solo, but haven't really researched how to do it yet. I'm guessing that is what the AFF classes are for. Up until yesterday I had no knowledge of skydiving at all, so I am slowly learning. I do have quite a bit of canopy time but it is from flying a powered parachute that I used to own so I guess that it is similar but still different. I live pretty close to the DZ, so that's pretty nice. Any advice you guys can give, I'd gladly listen to.
  2. Hello everyone, I just experienced my very first jump at Skydive Dallas. The experience was amazing! I have never felt so welcomed as a new guy as I did in this sport. I guess this is a very tight community. One of my instructors, Ernie, had just completed his 1000th jump of the year just prior to our flight. "California Dave" was very friendly and helpful as he explained what we were about to do. I think I may have just found my new favorite hobby!! I've already prepaid for my next lesson. Can't wait!!
  3. I just took my first skydive! VERY friendly, experienced instructors. One of them had his 1000th dive of the year just prior to going up with my crew. The facility is very large, clean and organized. This is a great place to learn. I've already prepaid for my next dive. Thanks Skydive Dallas!!!
