it just passes the music straight through - not programmable like you would want.
Again - I have never jumped with music. I just like the SA with voice alerts. -
QuoteQuotecheck out Art's mustache right now....THAT is funny!
Like..."want some candy little boy" funny!
More like "I have come to clean the pool. Would you like me to take a look at your pipes" funny. -

Exactly. It was a serious inquiry.
in that case 'no' is the answer....and trust me on this, you wouldn't want them..... I certainly wouldn't.... -
QuoteQuote...if I can breathe when I am skydiving up THAT high!
it was one of the HR chicks at work....so no rocket scientist....
Oh yeah what a stupid woman working in HR, a real fucking bimbo! Seriously.. its a valid question. You don't have to go very far above 14k before it gets hard to breathe. Have you ever been climbing above 10k?
4 seasons summer mountaineering in NZ. Summited Mt Cook.
bimbo? stupid? not my words. Just making the point that feelings and head shrinking are more her forte - working in HR. -
QuoteQuoteyou're a bit of a dick - aren't you!?
You jump at Palatka? We need to talk to Art about skydiver sense of humor. He's training good new jumpers, just forgetting to teach you the twisted humor part. I know he has one. lol
I have a sense of humour - just didn't think that was very funny or clever.
And if you want funny - check out Art's mustache right now....THAT is funny! -
QuoteYOur answer is supposed to be.....
No we cant breathe, but its ok. We are falling so fast that the oxygen is pushed through our skin.
Also raindrops do hurt when you fall through them because we hit the pointy side of it on the way down.
AWESOME!
Now I feel prepared for these questions LOL -
QuoteIs she hot? Do you have any nude photos of her?
you're a bit of a dick - aren't you!? -
Quoteso were they asking if you can breathe in air that thin or ...were they asking if you were high when you jumped?
They are the ones that administer the 'random' drug testing at work - so they know I'm not 'high'. -

QuoteBTW, I hope this was "planed" CReW....I've seen far too many raps from folks just "desiding to play" ....
briefed and planned
I enjoy this 'living and breathing' caper and plan to keep doing it. -
I bit the bullet too.
the 18-135 IS USM and the 70-300 IS USM lenses and the 7D body.
Also grabbed a Sony CX150.
Probably won't all make it here to Aust for Xmas - but no biggie.
Forgot to order any media with them - DOH!!! LOL -
QuoteWhy do you have all them unemptied beers?
I can help you fix it
That is the bar fridge at the DZ -
Quoteawesome looking jump suit/rig combo...
Is that a Liquid Sky one?
Thanks - I do look a bit like a power ranger with the white Z1 on - but I love it - bit of fun.
The suit is LS - the rig was coloured to match - but unfortunately Julio did not have a hand in the design. He will in the next one for sure :D -
QuotePics or it didn't happen
to be downloaded from the DZ HDD recorder on next visit.
b'day cake happened! LOL -
I took a week off to go to Ramblers Learning Curve Camp last week.
24 jumps for the week
5 FF coach jumps - learning heaps (thanks Cynthia!)
Did my 100th.
B'day Horny gorilla with 2 chicks!
And faced my biggest skydiving fear - CRW......and had an awesome time. Sunset jump - end cell contact. Was buzzing for an hour after.
And my non-skydiving gf made this cake for me

This is what I was thinking for her.

LOL yeah, that would make a nice gift, slightly over budget though
Oh - just my hijacking of the thread. My budget is different LOL -
QuoteIf you want shots like that, remember that the lens is (way) more important than the camera. Any nikon or canon DSLR will do, just get a good lens. For nikon, for this purpose and budget, that would be the 70-300 AF-S VR lens.
Regardless of brand, don't get any of the cheap 70-300 (or similar) lenses, those will disappoint you.
This is what I was thinking for her.

QuoteQuotebut how much of the frame does the jump plane fill with a 300mm lens?
It's basically a dot. I mean, you can make out the plane, you can see people exiting, but it's not very big.
The attached shot is cropped pretty tight. That's taken with a Canon 70-300 IS. Don't have easy access to an uncropped one at the moment.
Dave
She will enjoy taking pics like that!
Thanks -
QuoteQuoteShe doesn't want to jump - but I don't want her getting bored at the DZ.
Then don't take her to the DZ.
LOL - she is taking an interest -
QuoteAll depends how steady your hands are. I wouldn't buy a camera and telephoto lens just for watching. But it'll take better pictures than a pair of binoculars.
Dave
well that is what I figured - she would have more fun taking pics than just watching.
I can give her a tripod to use as well.
but how much of the frame does the jump plane fill with a 300mm lens?
She doesn't want to jump - but I don't want her getting bored at the DZ. -
QuoteI find it much easier to keep the subject still in the frame with image stabilization. Very hard to keep a jump plane 14000 feet above sitting still in the viewfinder at 300mm without it. I also shoot helicopters at low shutter speeds... definitely couldn't do as well without IS.
Dave
How much of the frame does a jump place fill at full zoom on a 300mm lens?
My gf wants a pair of binoculars to watch us jump - maybe a DSLR would be a better investment???? -
not sure what all the fuss is about....
what giselle wants to do has been done already.

AA with integrated mp3 player from alti-2
in Gear and Rigging
To adjust the volume of your tunes you adjust the volume on your mp3 player as you normally would. So probably best to have an ipod shuffle with simple buttons you can use with gloves.
