  9. Had my protrack for about 6 months and the last time i used it worked fine on the ground then at 1000' it beeped then beeped every 10-15 sec till altitude. when I landed I replaced the batteries assuming that must be the problem however it still does the same thing occasionally flashing "ERR 2" Any thoughts?
  10. It was a little warmer where we were. The island leases a jump plane during the winter for experienced jumpers to come down and play. It was sick!
  11. Just thought Id share some pics from our 2nd skydive trip to The island aptly named "Rum Cay" in the Bahamas: http://hparker.smugmug.com/Skydive/skydiverumcay/15788911_Rysad#1186427922_FZrhS
  12. We Require a B-liscense or equivelent for most of the landing areas and you must have had water training. There are 2 Landing areas that we require a min 150 jumps. $300/day includes room, food, non alcoholic drinks, transportation, and boat trips. i.e snorkeling, surfing, paddlboarding, kayaking ect. If you get a group of 6ppl your trip is free excluding airfare. You can PM me if you have specific questions. We leased the plan until April so all you jumpers freezing your butts off come on down and get a little taste of RUM...
  13. Rum Cay, in the Bahamas using a 206... This isn't in the US but interesting becuase it is the first time there has been one down there since the late 90's.
  14. During Lobster season similar rules apply as in the states but the Measurment of the Carapce is 3-3/8" unlike the US that is 3" the big rule is that you can't use Dive tanks. Freedive only. In Rum Cay the lobsters get so BIG that you really do need to spear them. Luckily use of pole spears and Hawaiian slings are legal for lobster but not spearguns. With only 60 locals on the island and no commercial lobster harvesting there are plenty of 7-10lb bugs on every reef. Hopfully you can come oon one of our trips and experince it first hand.
  15. All inclusive really applies towards room, non-alcohol beveregaes and food. Sucba is extra...but paddleboarding, snorkeling, fishing, transportation, and boat excursions are all included. You can participate in as much or as little as you want. You can simply jump all day or experience a little more. What I liked best was all of the non-skydivers would take the boat to one of the beaches on the island and all of the skydivers would land there in boardshorts and flops, drop their rigs and hop straight into the water surf and dive then do it all over again.
  16. Just loaded the rest of the pics from the Boogie: http://www.flickr.com/photos/47921455@N05/
  17. Just found out we might try to bring an otter down and do a boogie in march...would anybody come?
  18. Video we shot at the 2010 Rum Bum Boogie in the Bahamas. We were feeding sharks at the marina when a couple of us were doing a sunset load and right around 1:00 the man in the grey suit showed up and actually took off with one craigs sandals after he lost them at touchdown. Here is Lyle, Uwe, and Craig from Skydive Sebastian swooping over a few of the locals...Sharks!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOckexL56H4
