  1. Hey everyone, I'm just beginning to put together my first (yes I know BEER) camera helmet and want it to be as snag resistant as possible. I currently have a G2 helmet and was wondering if the Cookie G3 Roller Mount will work on my G2, I don't want to destroy my helmet and it not work? I already have my GoPro Hero 3+ silver and I'm not looking to switch cameras, however I'm willing to sell my G2 for a G3, even though I think the 2 is better and would only do so if I had to. If you have any input that could help me out I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks
  2. I know you do not agree with Lasik, but at the end of it it is ultimately the individuals decision. And I believe I chose what was the correct one for me. I understand your concern with the flap and with skydiving. I wear a full face (G2) and wrap around sunglasses when I jump. So I should be ok as far as the wind issue. No matter what procedure there will be risks and benefits.
  3. Hey everyone! I got to meet my eye surgeon on Thursday and got my eyes all mapped out and ready to go I asked my doctor a ton of questions about Lasik and PRK, and I decided that Lasik would be better for me and I'm all scheduled to get it done very soon. It was reassuring to see that not only did my eye doctor have Lasik done, but a few other office people did as well and one had PRK. I did mention to him that it was difficult to get a straight answer from a credited source about the procedure for skydivers. He is thinking of possibly writing an article for us jumpers. I thank you all again for your input and opinions and feel that it has helped me pick which procedure was right for me, but it is everyones personal choice at the end of it.
  4. Everyone your input is great! I meet the surgeon this coming Thursday to finalize my decision and to ask my questions. As of currently, I'm leaning towards Lasik. But I will not make a permanent decision until I get to talk to my doctor on Thursday. I just wish whatever I pick was done already so I can see.
  5. Hey everyone, I've made the decision to go get my eye fixed! But I was wondering from fellow skydivers what they got (Lasik or PRK) I have heard pro's and con's with both. I'm meeting my surgeon on Feb. 27th and would like some input on what would be better with skydiving.
  6. God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change... courage to change the things I can... and the wisdom to know the difference. Have fun in your playground Jules... sunny days and nice winds. I'll be looking for you. "See ya, girl "
