So does it mean that I have to pay gear rental fees for the remaining 27 jumps (5 coached, 11 solo, 1 hop&pop)? That would really mess up my plan since it's almost $400-$600 over my original budget at $64.5 per day of gear renting fee. My budget is around 3.1K with 2.6k for the package, 300 for expenses during my stay, and the rest for necessary item purchase.

    Welcome to skydiving ..... ;)

  2. This is already being done to some extent with dropzones requiring tandem jumps before AFF. Adding a tunnel training option to replace the tandem jumps would give initial skydiving training some flexibility.

I think the requirement for a Tandem is to get a student out the door at least once before someone asks them to climb out for AFF. That can be very overwhelming. No amount of tunnel time can change that. [:/]

  3. Have you ever made a skydive ? You have no profile info. You should contact a school on BASE like "APEX BASE". That is how to learn. Come to the USA if you need to. BASE requires 200 skydive "LANDINGS" before it will be taught by a school. Don't kill yourself. B|

  4. Along with everything thing said above. Start by knowing what size reserve is needed for you to land safely. Don't very from that size except to maybe go bigger. Then find a container that fits the reserve, your body size, and a reasonable sized main canopy. If you buy a new container to fit your body, and to fit the proper reserve, the canopies can be "used" and your container will always fit. My two cents. Reserve Size First.
