It's all about focus for me. Sports that make you push everything out of your mind except what you are doing at that moment I find very relaxing and give me a sense of well being, even joy. Like being in "the zone" I guess you can call it. And I dated a therapist once, she told me I should go see a therapist other than her to resolve some of my issues. Hi, I'm Dave. I'm new...to skydiving and the forums. I stumbled across the forums while looking for answers to my shoulder problem, which I found by the way, so thank you all for the input! I guess I'll blab about myself for a second if thats ok? I'm 28, I went to university for political science but I'm make no use of that degree in my soul crushing cubible job as a stock broker's bitch worker. I'm a certified open water scuba diver. I occassional rock climb. And I backpack, usually in latin America, a few times a year. My next trip though is to Iceland! Pretty psyched about that, can't wait to freeze my ass off camping under the Northern Lights. I always wanted to skydive but was waiting on my friends to go with me. I finally realized a few years ago my friends suck and are all talk. You know, "Yea sure lets go backpacking! We should do that one day!" "Yea lets go jump out of a plane sounds awesome, but not this month I'm busy." So I started doing things alone, but making amazing friends along the way! Friends that actually DO things instead of sit around talking about doing things. Like you people, DOERS. I'm still new to my DZ but after a few months I'm starting to feel the sense of a little family. All be it a somewhat unstable family, but that makes people fun! Anyway... Been going to a nude beach in NJ for 8 years now. After the first 5mins you just forget about it and enjoy the sun on your ass. As for the types of people, its like a supermarket. one of the instructors mentioned this to me a couple weeks ago. they said to unstow the left first then reach over and grab the right since it would be theoretically my only working arm. guess ill try it a couple times just in case :) hope for the best, prepare for the worst? Well it's not a dislocation, just got back from the doctor. It's a subluxation. It goes back into the socket and doesn't fully dislocate. They are sending me for an MRI but basically they think the muscle around my shoulder is just loose. Lifting has helped a bit, it doesn't happen nearly as often now but when it happens its way more painful. Besides the gym I'll probably have to go for PT to correct it. As for steering and landing, since it has always gone back in I haven't really seen it as an issue, but it very well might become one if it fully dislocates I guess. I bought a brace though. One of the guys at the DZ said it worked for him. But I'm putting jumping on hold until I get the MRI results. Still would appreciate feed back on different braces people may have used. similar experiences, and obviously I'm inexperienced so if anyone thinks of any other complications that could pop up I'd love to read about them just to prepare myself for variables. thanks guys! :) Sex with sith is like sex with a stripper.
