Let the Judicial system sort out who the "bad ones" are, not some panel staffed by appointees with agendas and pseudo-relevant qualifications... -

Let's abandon the idea of having a Police Department! Woohoo!
Let's replace all police with Social Workers, who can ask Murders and Street Thugs about how they feel about their Mommies! (Because I'd wager most don't know who their daddies are)
What sort of pussified police department do you want, Amazon? "STOP! or... I'll... Say 'Stop!' Again!" That'll work great in the 'Hood. -
The Wisdom of Brak: Brak's Definition of Love
"You know love is a happy time. All throughout the universe.
It's when the male part of the species goes to the female part of the species and says:
"Hey, do you want to go on a date?" And then she would say: "Why yes, I'd like to go on a date." ... If you're LUCKY!-
And then you go to a restaurant, and she gets something called "a salad."
And then he gets a big piece of beef, that he eats.
And that to me ladies and gentlemen, is LOVE.
Kinda makes you cry, doesn't it?" -
Quotebankers are evil and the 1% run the world. republicans are behind all this except GSCO who gave more money to Dems and Obama!!!

I think its a very interesting story and would love to see this thread not devolve into some right vs left, have vs have nots bs.

QuoteQuoteHe is not perfect, but Ron Paul is the only one making any sense. All the others (Donkeys and Elephants) obviously are in it to serve their puppet masters. But that is the problem, I can see Ron Paul coming down with an acute case of lead poisoning or sporting a new set of cement galoshes should he ever come close to being prez. The puppet masters do not like Ron Paul's message.
we haven't had a candidate hurt since 1968.
Yep. Don't fuck with the USSS. -
QuoteA Bloomberg News poll shows Cain at 20 percent, Paul at 19 percent, Romney at 18 percent and Gingrich at 17 percent among the likely attendees with the caucuses that start the nominating contests seven weeks away.
There’s good news in the poll for Paul, 76, a Texas congressman who has attracted ardent supporters. Among likely caucus-goers who say their minds are made up, Paul leads with 32 percent, followed by Romney at 25 percent and Gingrich, a former House speaker, at 17 percent.
All Ron Paul needs is for people to believe that he has a chance... Guess what...I think Ron Paul is going to snowball.

QuoteA wave of such incitement led to vigilante mobs attacking the IWW in many places, and after the war the repression continued. In Centralia, Washington on November 11, 1919, IWW member and army veteran Wesley Everest was turned over to the lynch mob by jail guards, had his teeth smashed with a rifle butt, was castrated, lynched three times in three separate locations, and then his corpse was riddled with bullets before it was disposed of in an unmarked grave. The official coroner's report listed the victim's cause of death as "suicide."

Nah. I'll settle for the FleaBaggers being evicted. If they get a little jostled in the process, no problem. -

Game, Set, Match.
It's not subject to time since there is no restriction on hours of access.
As previously stated, it's public space.
The Constitution provides for peaceful demonstration.
Game, set, match indeed, counselor.
Any attempt by people to make it appear as if the protest was, in and of itself, illegal is bound to fail. The protest itself, in that time and on that place, was absolutely legal.
True, but Manner restrictions gut the Fleabaggers' desire to camp out. It's a win for the City. Without the ability to squat, they'll disperse, as they'll have no place to sleep.
It's time those losers go back to their miserable little lives. -

QuoteQuoteQuote“No right is absolute and with every right comes responsibilities. The First Amendment gives every New Yorker the right to speak out – but it does not give anyone the right to sleep in a park or otherwise take it over to the exclusion of others – nor does it permit anyone in our society to live outside the law. There is no ambiguity in the law here – the First Amendment protects speech – it does not protect the use of tents and sleeping bags to take over a public space."

A good way to get community service sentences served would be to have these lawnshitters clean up and scrub every last inch of Zucotti Park.
That release states "Owners" can you explain if it is a Privately held park "open" to the City or a City Owned Park? and what does that mean in regards to property rights trespassing etc?
Matt
As I understand, Zucotti is held in some grey area between private and public. Not sure, I don't do Real Estate and I am not licensed in NY. -

I personally think he's lying when he claims to be privy to any real intelligence from the FleaBaggers.
