I just received in a rawa vision with a box for a cx100 side box. At first i thought that i got the wrong size box but after talking with chutingstar for a bit im starting to think that its just a unusually tight fit. Ive been looking into stowless/semi-stowless bags and have seen the NoStoBag by AeroSports on Chutingstar. Asking around i havent heard any pros or cons about it. Does anyone have any experience/reviews of this product. edit: thread title Dude..what the hell is on your head?

Ive noticed at every...yes every.. Strong DZ that I have been to, the packers do not open the velcro flaps and place the s-folded canopy onto the flattened bag as the manual says. (I'm certainly not saying that noone does it this way) Ive actually seen many of these bags with the velcro sewn shut and the canopies are inserted as with a normal sport bag. Does anyone use the Strong bags as "directed"? For anyone who doesn't know--the Strong anti-slump bag (their d-bag) is held in iys shape with velcro and the manual says to open the bag so that it lays flat on yhe ground. After you do your s-fold you place the canopy on top of the bag and fold it around the canopy and mate the velcro thus eminating having to stuff it into the bag. Locking stows are then used to keep the top shut as per the norm. Question----isnt this a huge pain in the ass? Dude..what the hell is on your head?

Well I certainly did not intend to come across as a condecending ass and if you took it as such I sincerely apologize. With no profile info and judging by your questions I was assuming you've got between 40 to 80 jumps. On top of this a full explaination could help another younger jumper with the same questions. Fyi..understanding canopy flight on paper and feeling camopy flight are very different. I was just trying to answer the question that you asked. Simply put...you flying a fully elliptical wing is just inappropriate. Two things stick out right off the bat. A semi-ellip wing at a proper (and apropriate) wing loading will give you the perfect glide and "fast tuns and fun" that you will want and need. You must walk before you can run. Second..if you don't know what additional risks are associated with a high performance canopy you absolutely should not be under one. Finding a proper canopy is more than landing with accuracy and such. You MUST understand HOW and WHY a canopy flies and behaves the way that it does. You must understand the intricacies of ram air canopy flight. A semi-elliptical (Sabre2, Safire2, Pilot) are much better suited for your experience/WL. You will get the "quick turns", "flat glide", and "swoopy type landings" that you are looking for.....I promise. On top of this you will begin to build your base of knowledge of canopy flight that you will carry with you for the rest of your skydiving career. Please...PLEASE heed the warnings of those whom have gone--and GONE--before you. But ultimately..if you want to break yourself that's up to you..but if you hurt someone else......... Just looking for a few opinions. The reserve flap seems quite wide to put a sky tie on my Voodoo. im not a huge fan of the rubber band ball method though not completely opposed to it. Is there something im overlooking on the magnetic system? How do you guys do it? Dude..what the hell is on your head?

I am pretty solid on accuracy and my canopy skills have been good enough to sat...... Just curious....how many of those jumps were you on radio? If your making statements at 23 jumps about how much more advanced you are than your fellow "student buddies" I invite you to read just about any article/thread about downsizing to quick. I just bought myself a Schumacher QuickShoe mount for my helmet. It came in with all of the hardware needed but i have never done it before and with no instructions i dont want to mess up my new helmet to bad.. I recently bought a new rig--Voodoo--which I absolutely love. I had it made with a freefly deployment handle. My primarily reason for choosing this deployment handle is that I jump at a 182 dropzone. A good friend of mine had his hackey get caught under the lelever that controls the flaps causing his pilot chute to be extracted in the plane. Fortunately this was caught before the door was ever opened and it was dealt with accordingly. I also seem to think that with a brand new slippery ZP pilot chute it is more secure in the BOC---and let's face it---i looks badass. ;) So here is my question. I have heard a number of people talk about hard pulls with these handles. I personally know two people that have had to dump their reserve due to the fact that they could not extract their pilot chute. For what I hope are rather obvious reasons this has got me a bit concerned. This is my first rig with a freefly handle and frankly I would like 2 methods of saving my ass on my back as opposed to just one--not that I don't trust my rigger, but I just like to try out my main before I use my reserve. :) has anyone else had this issue with hard pulls? And if so what have you done to remedy the situation aside from just getting a new handle?[email] Dude..what the hell is on your head?

With that being said I could of posed that question better.. TSO"s are the same? Why do you think it is a different company? A name change is merely an administrative procedure and does not effect the TSO-authorizations at all; other than you have to use the new name in the marking. The equipment now being produced by UPT is being produced under the TSO-authorizations that were issued to RWS back in '84; other than their tandem rigs.
