  1. I asked PD for a Vectran reline on a Sabre2 150 a while back and initially they resisted the idea but eventually relented. I assume the issue comes down to whether or not they are confident that enough R&D has been done to say a specific line type or RDS will work with a specific canopy.
  2. I don't know what type of insurance Laidlaw had but an insurance company was indeed the true defendant in that case.
  3. Criminal statutes generally require an intent to harm, reckless indifference, or an accompanying dangerous felony offense. With the vast majority of skydiving fatalities, where fault can be attributed to someone other than the deceased, there may be simple negligence but there is no reckless indifference.
  4. The technology looks pretty neat, but there is one obvious downside. If you are looking at your virtual map, you are probably not paying attention to others under canopy, so its use would likely have to be restricted to people doing high pulls or hop n' pops with nobody else on the pass.
  5. He makes valid points (though he is stating the obvious). My criticism is that 20% of the 'article' is him hawking his services. That's not an article, it is an advertisement.
  6. Great job...marketing...yourself.
  7. The location has been approved. Rosemont, IL. The GPS coordinates are 41.979249, -87.867896 if you want to look at the area on Google maps. http://www.journal-topics.com/news/article_19530642-7baa-11e2-b4f7-0019bb30f31a.html
  8. You can jump with one arm, as the skydiver from that video has demonstrated repeatedly: http://www.youtube.com/user/1armskydiver.
