  1. Congrats on both. tandem fly-bys...if you're gonna do em' at all...a fair amount of WS experience is needed. How close were you? Was it set up in advance? how were "outs" determined? Not sure exactly how close, and set up in advance. No talk of outs. Blue skies, Keith Medlock

  8. Many have told me "I've always wanted to go skydiving." My response is always "No, you haven't really wanted to skydive. Otherwise you would have done it." Blue skies, Keith Medlock
  9. Is a large as possible reserve the way to go? Pros: 1) Softer landings, especially when unconscious. 2) More material in case of a main/reserve entanglement. 3) Less harness turn when unconscious. 4) Better behaved with line twists. Cons: 1) Less compatible with main during a two out. 2) Less control in high winds. I have a 150 main and an old 175 reserve I need to replace. I was thinking of upsizing to a PD Optimum 193 since it fits due to smaller pack volume. A rigger I respect very much suggested a 160 to more closely match the main. I know this may be a stupid question since he is a great rigger, and I'm generaly an idiot, but I still think a large reserve is the way to go. Blue skies, Keith Medlock
  10. But it would be so easy... Blue skies, Keith Medlock
  11. My main is 150. My reserve is 175. Blue skies, Keith Medlock
  12. Indeed, and of course those early homo-sapien invaders from Africa may well have been responsible for the extinction of the native European (German, even) Neanderthal man. The horror! Yeah, and according to my parents Father Christmas will only bring me presents if I'm nice. Useful story to get kids to behave, but sort of falls down in an adult debate. Blasphemy! 13. According to the theory of evolution, EVERYONE came from Africa... Blue skies, Keith Medlock

What can I expect as far as max performance vertical speed? Horizontal Speed? Height: 5ft 10in Exit Weight: 156 lbs Exit: 8750 ft Deployment: 3050 (pulled at 3500) Freefall: 76 s Average Speed: 51 mph Blue skies, Keith Medlock

  22. Where on earth have you got that from? Please tell me you're not serious?! I am indeed serious. If you think the same as John, perhaps you can tell me why? I can tell you why. Although its not true, there are MANY stupid Americans who believe that President Obama is Muslim! Blue skies, Keith Medlock
  23. It didn't occur to ask since the three other suits I jumped had no grippers. ROFL! Just to be sure, I checked and verified that you CAN pull while holding the gripper. Thanks for the input. I just noticed that it gets in the way on the ground, although I know the in-air dynamics will be quite different. Blue skies, Keith Medlock
