  2. Thanks I'll do that. Gunnery Sergeant of Marines "I would like it if I were challenged mentally at my job and not feel like I'm mentally challenged." - Co-worker
  3. Thanks a bunch for the input. I really didn't want close to military grade explosives. Just a little something that will shower a few sparks sort of like those 4th of July hand held sparklers. but with a bit more so there is a trail as I'm flying canopy. BTW- I'm a CRW dog none of my EP's are standard ever.
  4. What I have is esentially what you describe. I'm not that much of a stranger to devices for demos. just haven't done pyro for night yet. Gunnery Sergeant of Marines "I would like it if I were challenged mentally at my job and not feel like I'm mentally challenged." - Co-worker
  5. I have been thinking of testing if regular sparklers you can get at a fireworks store bundled together will work. It would have to be a bunch of them for any sort of significate spark trail. I was going to test ignite them with a 9 volt battery, push botton switch and a model rocket engine igniter. Of course I would have to have it contained somehow so it won't set off until I wanted it to. Also I use cable lanyards to hang smoke under canopy, no need for boots. 6. Thanks for the heads up, I'm aware of the safety precautions that need to take place. I wonder why a SCUBA diver would use something like that? Gunnery Sergeant of Marines "I would like it if I were challenged mentally at my job and not feel like I'm mentally challenged." - Co-worker
  7. I did a search and nothing came up. I have been looking all over the internet as well. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with jumping what I think is a magnesium flare. instead of using smoke at night this is supposed to shower sparks that dissapate so no hot buring embers land anywhere. The next question is where can I get something like that. I have a possible night demo coming up and could use one. Thanks Gunnery Sergeant of Marines "I would like it if I were challenged mentally at my job and not feel like I'm mentally challenged." - Co-worker
  8. I was checking out the forum to reflect on another we lost and saw this thread. I may have briefly met him, not sure. Looks like I missed out on knowing someone great. Fred Dropped us into a downplane and we burned smoke for all the spectators on the beach. It may take a while but when I get the other photos I'll post them. 13. You got to do a downplane on friday. All you had to do was quit the 4 way team. hehe. Wished you could have stayed. For a teaser to the CRW dogs that didn't entertain the idea of being there or did and didn't show up, here is a pic of a drag plane. 14. That is moving. Ithink you have a real talent for writing. There were several memorial jumps I didn't get to do them all because several groups on the same load were doing memorial jumps. However, I can see that jump as if I were in it. Thanks for sharing that. 16. I deject this reality and substitute ECSC's! I dreamt of death straps, dragplanes, downplanes and landing 2 stacks on the beach all day at work. Anyone that has any photo's at all- post them! And if it hasn't been said enough- Thanks to eveyone at ECSC. You are all truely like family. It was great to see my friends from chester for most of whom it took the closing of WFFC this year to get them to Emerald Coast. One last thing- why don't you see any middle eastern people at the Bama? They stay home and get bombed Gunnery Sergeant of Marines "I would like it if I were challenged mentally at my job and not feel like I'm mentally challenged." - Co-worker
  17. In spirit he got to perform all the disciplines he practiced too. The "air" during the boogie was one of a sort of peacefulness too. Gunnery Sergeant of Marines "I would like it if I were challenged mentally at my job and not feel like I'm mentally challenged." - Co-worker
  18. I think a new jumper there by the name of Deanna packed a bit too and drove all you drunk asses back from the bama. I rode on one such trip on the third night. She had just enough patience left to do it by that time. On another note, much fun was had. More than any one single person should be allowed. Which is typical for that boogie. Just under 365 days to go... Gunnery Sergeant of Marines "I would like it if I were challenged mentally at my job and not feel like I'm mentally challenged." - Co-worker
