  1. Aerodyne visited my drop zone, and I had a chance to demo the new Zulu all weekend! I have previously only jumped Pilots (124 and 132) loaded around 1.4... After jumping it all weekend (on both aff jumps and video jumps) I instantly put in my order, it's exactly what I was looking for. Great consistent openings (even when I packed it, and even when I pitched shortly after a track). The toggle pressure felt the same as the pilot to me, but where I really noticed the difference was harness input. Much more sensitive to harness input, and much more responsive to riser turns. (fyi: I don't swoop, nothing high performance). It got me back from looooong spots just as my pilot has and the flare felt much more powerful than the pilot. It has a new line type (ZLX) which I don't know much about but it was explained to me that they aren't supposed to stretch and should last longer. Just my 2 cents from your average canopy pilot and loves the new Zulu :)

  2. The sizing matched up almost perfectly to what the website recommends and the customer service was awesome, I was sort of in between sizes and they emailed me back instantly in which to get. I got the gloss carbon fiber, it's VERY light with super comfy padding and a nice leather chin strap. It's also extremely quiet. I originally got it to mount the contour camera horizontally on the top (as they recommend the EDGE is good for small-format cameras because of the flat top). It does fit, but most of the 'flat/horizontal' mounts I would use are too big for the small flat spot. Besides that, so far so good!

  3. I bought my first used rig a few weeks ago, at the time I had about 40 jumps. While a student I was jumping whatever was available (anywhere from a navigator 200, a sabre 210, sabre 190). I now own the Pilot 150, and I LOVE MY NEW CANOPY! The flare is very forgiving, I've been able to stand up almost every landing regardless of wind condition. It's fun to fly, and nice to pack with the color-tabs. I've had such wonderful openings too! It doesn't snivel for ever like the other canopies I had jumped. My wing loading is still pretty conservative, but it's fun :)
