  1. the 190 fits in a M3... it is very tight... and you need to loosen the closing loop. there is someone on this site who jumps an 190 in an M3. I was talking to him about it because this is the route i was going to go but ended up jumping the 170.. He even posted videos on youtube for me to see the 190 in the rig. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Er9gmY9bfk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulbqmRKFkJY
  2. im a new jumper... 40 jumps.. i started loosening my strap at jump# 33. All i can say is i saw a huge difference in my landings. pre loosening i would have sloppy stand ups. mainly because my balance was on a backward lean. but once i loosened them up first landing i saw a huge difference as it allowed me to lean forward into the landing. from that jump on i do it all the time. i deal with all canopy issues. quick control check with risers then pointing myself in the direction of holding area. at that point i collapse slider and loosen up chest strap, then do a full control check with handles.
  3. LETS GO RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! need i say more
  4. i would cut away if that fell on me while my main was deploying
  5. I just shipped a rig ... all it had was a packed reserve just add a little if it has a main... NY -> Cali $33 for ground $65 for 2 day and $12 for them to package it all nice and safe... UPS store

  8. Just and UPDATE.. AFF COMPLETE.... finished lvl 7 yesterday and ready to solo...
  9. just did my level 5 passed.... turns were nice and slow... alittle to slow lol... tracking was an issue... had no forward movement lol... 2 more to go and im finished with aff
  10. yeah that's kinda when i start my flair when i can count grass blades.... i hear great things about tunnel time and refining skills whether it be from beginner to advance skills... unfortunately there is no tunnel anywhere near me... NY
  11. did AFF 3 & 4 of friday took off of work but ended waiting couple of hours for winds to die down in the morning... my landing pattern is becoming more comfortable and height for time to flair is starting to click...both landings were stand up... even with the wind as gusty as they were... aff 4 i got a little frustrated as i jumped with a different instructor small female women... not as if that bothers me or is the reason... for my practice pull and deployment pull... she whore a Neptune 2 on her wrist and i grabbed it both times since it was just 2-3 inches from my piliot chute...she was grabbing the high point of my leg harness... but on deployment i reset and grabbed again and slid up to pilot just before she was going to deploy it herself... after all said and done. i passed 4 and just waiting for another nice day to do 5-7... my free fall is very good once in position... she flew around front and we just fell straight... she didn't need to make any adjustment to stay with me while i turned and fell.... i just need to work on my legs... i dont right off the bat put them to the 45deg.. its close but they always throw a quick 2 finger and im good... just need to get that muscle memory...
  12. all i can say is AWESOME fun!!!! Took my ground class 2 Saturdays ago... did 2 jumps last Saturday and now just waiting for another nice weekend to get out there to finish up my levels... i feel very comfortable in the air... but my final landing approaches are still iffy... the radio and instructor guidance DEF. makes it easier... i just need a couple of more jumps to get the feeling locked it for landings
