  1. Just got a message from a DZ in Canada about an hour from Williston, ND now thats what I'm talkin about. I love this site. Thanks for all ur help guys. To those who can't and to those who never can again!
  2. Sorry Chris didnt me to come off as a jerk there I had, had a bad day when I posted that. I know it sounded real bad. I really wanna jump and there is a DZ about 3 hrs away in Canada and that is more of a likely drive so. Hopefully I may be able to jump there. We would really like to jump but this is one of those jobs if u know what I mean man. To those who can't and to those who never can again!
  3. The dropzones in Montana are between 7 and 11 hrs away. The name of the town is Williston, ND. As far as not taking one hell of a job because my hobby dosn't fit. Well providing for my family comes first and I can always not jump, its part of being an adult. It would just be nice to find a DZ but if one dosn't pop up I will always have vacation to jump on. To those who can't and to those who never can again!
  4. I am willing to drive but the only one I had found so far was in Fargo which would mean driving across the state. A 6hr drive every time I wanted to jump would be a little much for me. Canada isnt a bad option tho i could look into that. To those who can't and to those who never can again!
  5. Civilian = 0 I jumped in the Army. I would also like to complete AFF as I know jumping a civilian chute is nothing like a military chute. Also we dont do freefall. To those who can't and to those who never can again!
  6. Ok so I have a possible job opportunity in north west North Dakota. I have been trying to find a dropzone near there and no luck. I keep getting some random website that I am almost positive is a scam. Honestly need a DZ with AFF training as well as I am just getting into this sport, and my wife would like to join me as soon as she can after she gives birth. We are both on the larger side so Tandem is out of the question I have looked into it. I have also looked into Montana DZs and they all seem to be central or western Montana so that doesnt help either. If any one knows of a DZ we overlooked we would be greatful for the information. We have used this websites DZ locator and searched online as well. Thanks. To those who can't and to those who never can again!
  7. you know i origanlly wrote this post asking for advice and it quickly spiralled into a fat debate. to those of you who offered advice and stick up for heavier jumper thank you. to those of you who were blessed with a good metabolisam and just wanna bitch about fat ppl Ive got one message for you if was good enough to jump out of military aircraft and defend my country ill find a way to jump out of a civilian aircraft because I wont quit. in conclusion to all of you nay sayers kiss my arse and ill see you in the sky! To those who can't and to those who never can again!
  8. ok so as to shed a little more light on things here is all of my stats and some of my past. i am 5' 10" and 262lbs. i am also an iraqi combat vet and that is the source of my "medical problems" i was blown up in a mortar attack at which point my pituitary gland shut down. which mean i no longer produce any testosterone, and a few other things that are well a little more personal. yes i can take testosterone injections to help this but well lots of red tape and all. i have widened my search area. and am also looking into used rigs as a possibility. if this helps any of you with ideas let me know and i will be calling any one with in driving distace that you all think may have rigs i can jump thank you for all the imput so far. To those who can't and to those who never can again!
  9. I live in Illinois near Kewanee. Sorry should have thought of that. To those who can't and to those who never can again!
  10. 262lbs loosing weight is possible for me but i have a medical problem makes it near to impossible but it can be done. To those who can't and to those who never can again!
  11. ok so apparently im to F***ing fat to go skydiving. no one in my state carries gear that my fat ass can wear. I have been told by almost half of clubs here that if im serious about jumping i could always buy my own gear and just start jumping. thats expensive as hell and i didnt want to have to do that till I at least got my class A licence. no idea what to do. i am not ready to give up yet. thoughts??? To those who can't and to those who never can again!
