  1. Agreed. Sounds like a pyramid scheme to me...
  2. The latest from Kyle: Up to this point most people did not no the extent of Amanda’s injuries, that was because we were still finding them out ourselves. As of today Amanda is in “stabilized” condition but please keep in mind that “stabilized” does not necessarily mean “stable”, she remains in the Burn Intensive Care Unit. She sustained a significant inhalation injury from inhaling smoke and fire, because of this, she has a breathing tube and a machine helping her breath. She is burned on almost 70% of her body. 64% of which are “Full Thickness” or “3rd Degree” burns. This includes her face. She sustained numerous fractures to her face and orbital bones around her eyes. As fare as they can tell she can still see fine. She also sustained fractures to her neck and back. In other words she has a broken neck and back but at this time she does not appear to be paralyzed. That is the bulk of her major injuries and there are many more that I will not list. But the good news is she’s young, healthy, athletic, in great shape and she’s a fighter. The doctors keep bragging on how strong she is and how well she did in her 1st surgery. Amanda goes back in for her 2nd surgery tomorrow morning around 7am. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. I will let you know how things go tomorrow.
  3. If you don't want to pay for Microsoft Office, try using Open Office. It has 99% of the features of MS Office, and the files created can still be opened and modified by anyone using MS Office.

  5. Amanda's out of surgery and everything went perfect!!! They were able to remove the majority of her burned tissue and have even started grafting procedures. This surgery was performed several days earlier than normal due to Amanda's youth and excellent physical health. She is a real fighter and is progressing ahead of schedule. We were told that this was likely the most risky and most extensive surgery she will experience so from an operating side, it is all down hill from here! Her next surgery is scheduled for late next week at this point. Kyle is recovering well and is scheduled for skin grafting surgery on Friday. As I stated before, please consider no news good news so we will likely not post again unless something changes for the next several days. Thank you all again for the support and prayers.
  6. From a couple of hours ago: Amanda is through the first half of today's surgery and her vital signs are very good. The doctor said she was a real trooper. She has about two more hours of surgery but everything looks very good. Kyle is doing very, very good. They are planning to start skin grafting on him soon.
  7. The latest news: Kyle has minor burns to his hands and arms and is San Antonio with Amanda and is admitted to the hospital but only for observation. Amanda is being kept under sedation with 3rd degree burns to 70% of her body. At this time she is in critical but a stable condition. Her lungs are fine (which is REALLY REALLY good news) and their is no infections at his time. as many of you know infections from burns are extremely dangerous. Kyle and Amanda will have a long road to recovery and a friend of the family was appointed by Matt to take care of daily updates for everyone to follow. Matt is calling her every night for her to update the web page. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/amandafranklin The page was set up last night so there is not alot of information on it yet but will have soon. Matt has asked for anyone wanting to contact them to go through the caring bridge website and Justina will relay it to him. He has been getting tons of calls and emails and just can not keep up. He aslo said that the hospital rules prohibit flower deliveries so please keep that in mind. I will also report in here as I get updates but please keep the younkin and franklin families in your thoughts and prayers b/c the road to recovery will be a long and challenging one for the entire family. __________________ Team Futaba
  8. It sounds like your company needs to invest in some dual monitor setups on your computers. View on one screen, and input on the other. That's what we did, and it saved a HUGE bunch of $$$ by cutting our paper usage by 2/3.
  9. Matt is supposed to give another update at some point tonight. I'll post it here when I get it.
  10. Damnit! I just heard about the accident this morning. As others have said, you can't find a more professional, or nicer family. I was lucky enough to know Jimmy Franklin and Bobby Younkin as well before their tragic accident. My thoughts and prayers go out to both families during this troubling time.
  11. Just wanted to say thanks again for helping find someone to work with. I did 20 minutes over this past weekend and learned a lot. I can see why so many recommend it.
  12. I'm wondering if I should cut away my main brain today and go for the reserve.
  13. Does anyone know what actually happened to the aircraft that lead to the spin? Was it mechanical, or a CG / stall issue?
  14. You could always break out the PD airbag. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D87tqV5GcaQ
  15. If you are fighting the same virus I recently was, there is only one solution that will get rid of it. Go here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix Download Combofix, and follow their instructions exactly. Once you finish, un-install combofix as it can interfere with some anit virus software. You will probably have to use a different computer to download it onto a flash drive, then transfer it to your computer that way. That virus blocks access to pretty much all anti-virus software websites.
  16. I'm with you. The ROI on a relationship is just not worth the risk.
  17. Firefox ad block is a wonderful thing. I have often wondered it it works both ways though. Will it prevent Google from seeing your searches etc, or just keep you from seeing their ads?
  18. If our company paid us while we were serving I wouldn't mind. They don't, so I do everything I can to avoid getting picked. I just can't afford the risk of loosing income for weeks at a time.
  19. If it really is a full on eating disorder, I fell bad for the guy. I have had friends that have battled that and it is never a good thing. Controlling a food addiction is like an alcoholic that has to have one, and only one beer a day in order to live. We HAVE to eat.
  20. I used to obsess over what I ate, but it was because I was 100lbs over weight. Once I made the decision to loose the weight I found things I could eat that still fueled my love of good food without making myself crazy for eating in the first place. It's a balance I never thought I'd find, but now that I have it isn't so bad.
  21. With that many miles on the Audi, I'd cut my losses and find something else. My choice would be a Subaru.
  22. Just say no to the skinny jeans. They don't look good on much of anyone.
  23. It will if the only numbers the client has to contact you are issued by the company. Nothing's foolproof. I see your point. All of the clients I would want to take with me have my personal numbers as well.
  24. I can see where that might have been embarrassing, but living somewhere that a F^%$ up leaves you in Italy makes up for it by far. I am so OCD that I consider myself CDO so that the letters are in alphabetical order just like they should be.
  25. Having a company Blackberry / cell phone won't help with that issue. In fact it probably makes it easier. I create a backup of my entire phone and outlook contact lists once a week and upload them to my home computer.
