  5. According to the Associated Press, "Spot" has been under investigation by the CIA for a "leak". Sources did not disclose what kind of "leak" it was, but the CIA declines to comment if Spot took a "leak" in the Whitehouse.

    Sen Kerry(D) has called for a Congressional investigation on the death of "Spot", claiming that "Spot" may have been the victim of foul play since he was present during the most secret conversations regarding GWB military record.

    I believe I got the point ! Did you get mine? Marriage, like any other type of relationship, is a state of mind, a perception made in a person's mind about what to expect from the other.

    Things go wrong when that perception is based on the belief that marriage will bring happines to your life. Think about it for a minute: Most people fall "in-love" because they feel good when they are with the "loved one". When the relationship matures and expectations are no longer been met (to keep making me feel good), the relationship goes through a rocky period or worst.

    Now, to your point. If a person can't be happy in the absence of external stimuli ( "a loved one") how can they expect to be happy in a marriage?

    Yup, marriage are hard ! Hell, for one I am for abolishing the whole notion of marriage. Where is it written that you need to be married to be happy, or for that matter that married people make happy families?

    Happines is a state of mind. A happy person, will have a happy marriage ! A miserable person will have a miserable marriage.

    Heck, I believe marriage should be outlawed altogether. After all, it's a product that fails 60% of the time. Maybe is time for a class-action lawsuit against the institutions that promote marriage.

    On the other hand, seems to be a pretty popular bad product, since most people get married, divorced and MARRIED AGAIN ! (Count me in that group). It's like having a malfunction, pulling the handles, get to the ground and pack the malfuntion all over again !

  13. While the argument for siblings marrying may raise the same phylosophical questions, I would suggest that polygamy falls within the same category. Why would the State feel compelled to prohibit the choice of marriage partners?

    Religious arguments are certainly plausible but constitutionally unacceptable (Separation of State & Church).

    I am against ANY constitutional ammendment for the explicit purpose of denying rights to a subset of individuals based on whatever reasons. The Constitution is about protecting inherent freedoms and rights.

  25. Well, I've been looking all over the forums to share experiences with the Synergy canopy and so far all I have found are a few 2002 posts. I've been flying a Synergy 170 at 1.4+ for the last 2 months and the canopy is a mixed emotion.

    Yes, it takes a lot of muscle to work the canopy. I have flown it from 14k to the ground and it could be described as a BowFlex exercise machine ! It takes muscle. However, it's highly predictable, flies so solid that I cannot compare it to anything else I've flow (given limited experience at 400+ jumps) and it's responsive once you get the hang of the toggle input required (perception).

    On the downside, it's highly finicky when it comes to packing. Expect a few snappy openings, which I like to describe as terminal reserve rides. 1.2 seconds from pitch to inflation (multiple videos to show, not talking about a single instance). The HMA lines require attention to line stows selection and packing method.
