  1. My pick is Javelin, Mirage, Vector (in that order). I would stay away from Infinity at all cost. I have jumped one (only about 20 jumps) and can honestly say it was the crappiest rig I ever jumped. I would also stay away from Racer.
  2. 1) What you said was "Lost my new ContourHD 1080p in freefall. " Broke would have been a better choice of words. 2) You should not be jumping camera yet. 3) It has no snag points? I highly doubt that. 4) I have a friend who lost a main and broke his leg on the same jump. You should feel lucky. 5) Funny how 1 in a million things seem to happen very often.
  3. Do you really need the flags to find each other? What happened to the whole Gay-DAR thing?
  4. I was thinking the number was skewed as well for two reasons. The number of cutaways from high performance canopies loaded up over 2.0 is greater. I know this from experience. Then there is the young jumper that cuts away anything that looks funny. IE chop a stable line twist at 3,000 feet or because the slider did not come all the way down. I suspect the cutaway numbers by jump experience may show a reverse bell curve. Just my opinion.
  5. That is freaking amazing! You should call the FAA or BBB or someone like that. Good job! I saw a tornado once when I was a kid and would not want to be doing a sunset load in that kind of weather. Thanks for the effort. Did you disguise your voice? Next time speak with a british accent to throw them off.
  6. Call and ask for Aggie. He is in rigging and repairs (or at least was) but he is always most helpful.
  7. Don't worry, that Dave Lepaka will set everybody on the straight and narrow. He is a fixer...a real hero.
  8. I went through the 1800skydiveripoff list and based on that list and your logic the wind tunnel in Perris was built with or at least affiliated with sLyride money. That would make Perris Valley culpable and following the fruit of the poison tree logic even Skyventure itself. More interesting is that 50% of the last 6 USPA National Championships were held at dropzones that accept sLyride coupons. What type of sanctions would you recommend we impose upon these DZs and upon the USPA itself for awarding these events to them?
