  1. I have no basis for this, but I am wondering about the 50lbs figure. Does this number come from somewhere? I just imagine with a kite surfer as routine more force is involved to drag an adult across waters surface. But as I said I have no basis for this assumption and might be missing the purpose of this device.

Otterbox is the ticket for protection.

Seconding the otterbox, I am forced to carry an iphone for work. I'm sure the thing would be smashed to bits already if it weren't for the otterbox. It's been knocked off my belt or flown off when I had to run, hit the solid concrete or ashpalt and it's still ticking no scratches. A downside is it does make the phone larger of course.

I want to meet shah too, don't give me a warning for that.

I met him. And pretended to smash a beer bottle over his head. :D

That sounds about right, I might even let him drink it first if his last post was hilarious enough :P

  4. Not a specific reply to you Jerry(previous poster) but off that line of thought.

Is there a (current)legal point at which premeditated intention to use your reserve makes it no longer a 'reserve'. If you leave the aircraft with the 100% intention of deploying this reserve chute can it be said to be held in reserve? Could it be called just a second planned main deployment? (regardless of planform, branding, naming, being packed by a certified rigger ect)

  5. A very nice read, seems like a solid introduction to the sport and culture of skydiving by my limited experience so far. Thanks for putting it up for preview, much appreciate. I'll gladly refund that negative beer if we do cross paths eventually. ;)

  6. The No-script extension for firefox seems to be blocking it for me, because it's a new. Which is good because the otherwise unobtrusive ads have let me give this site an ad-block exemption. I would hate to have to block the rest of this sites supporters based on this one bad ad.

You're right, if you're unaware of the proceeding vehicle, in theory it came out if nowhere.

Im glad you got the middle finger rather than her front bumper! Look, and be safe(r);)

If you see them and they aren't at an extreme speed better to launch yourself into their windshield. If they are charging a marked crosswalk, and you're armed, better to assume they are attempting to kill you and empty your firearm into the drivers side of their vehicle.

  8. Nope, don't want to be banned from all my google services because I left my phone logged into google+ and some jackass posted something that some jackass moral majority type finds offensive and now I lose my main email account because of that. I hope not because the same reason.

If it does I hope common sense and anti-trust legislation breaks google.

You're saying in the UK you can't do FS with people other than coaches until you do a 4 way, with 4 pts, with coaches? What does that last jump run, 4 jump tickets + coach fees?

I am so glad I don't live in the UK suddenly if this is the case.
