  1. I describe the Sabre 2 openings like this: "SNATCH! snivel snivel snivel snivel snivel snivel snivel, inflaaaaatteeeee." I think the end cell closure is dependent on packing and WL in my experience, never had end cell or major heading issues at 1.1-1.2. You didn't say your WL by the way. I have a handful of jumps on a Pilot, about 100 on Sabre 2's, and 200ish on a Hornet which is very similar to the Pilot. I would say I like the openings on the Pilot better, soft but not sniveler, leave the nose wise open. But flight and landing characteristics the Sabre 2 is much more fun I think, its snappier and has a longer recovery arc. As others have said, the flare in the Sabre 2 is more in the bottom and the Pilot in the top. I think the flare on the sabre 2 and pilot is opposite of what you say. More on the top for the sabre and more on the bottom for the pilot Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, all used up, and loudly proclaiming: Wow, what a ride!
  2. i haven't personally taken Greg Windmiller's course but i hear from literally everyone that has taken it that he is an amazing canopy coach and worth every penny. I'll actually be getting my first taste of his canopy course later this month. I look forward to it. Of course, im sure any canopy course by a qualified instructor is a great thing to take anyway especially with all these people dying under perfectly good canopies. 3. I haven't flown a 150 but i have flown both canopies. they are both fairly similar canopies. I think the sabre 2 is a bit more sporty but not by much and the flare is better than the pilot but the pilot still has an excellent flare. Sabre 2 has a little more toggle pressure than the pilot and i couldn't really tell much difference on the riser pressure. The openings on the pilot are fantastic if you like longer soft on heading openings. The sabre 2 usually has soft openings but they can slam you if you pack sloppy. Sabre 2's almost never open on heading and almost always have closed end cells(not really that big of a deal though). Again, they're both pretty much the same canopies in regards to flight characteristics but they have some slight differences that aren't significant. See if you can demo them and decide for yourself. I prefer the pilot but i would recommend both canopies Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, all used up, and loudly proclaiming: Wow, what a ride!

  5. I actually have to agree here. Everyone is shallow when it comes to finding someone. I mean, would you really want to spend the rest of your life with someone who didn't meet any of the standards you have set aside for that one person? 6. I'm all for protecting our rights but, frankly, i see no harm in this PROVIDED a warrant is issued for the search. As long as a warrant is issued this would be no different than the police having to get in your house to serve a search warrant. That being said: if there is no warrant issued in this search then it is absolutely wrong this person should have to give it up. 7. What i mean by this is the tandem passenger faces the instructor. has anyone ever heard of doing this with a tandem passenger? if so is it even allowed? a friend and i were talking about it and were just curious. 14. Personally i find it quite hilarious that the US doesn't want certain countries to have nukes for fear of them using them on us or our allies... People apparently don't realize that America is the only country to have EVER used a nuclear bomb in a hostile manner on another country. Where do we come off telling other people they can't have them? 22. We just had someone get their license who was in their mid 50's if im not mistaken. There's no such thing as too old if you ask me(maybe not physically healthy enough but not too old).
