  2. Twas a perfect world of Canadians visiting American dropzones.... If Canada was too cold for jumping, we could visit our Southern American neighbours; Not that it stops anyone from jumping anywhere in America nor anytime of the year but with the increasing USD and decreasing CAD, its becoming more likely...Canadians can just stay and pay Canadian jump ticket prices. Whereas, We used to jump the border and get nearly two jump tickets in America for the price of a Canadian jump ticket. The American dollar is strong and its a good thing but more often, Were seeing Canadians post "gear for Sale" in USD? why? Because, its obvious. You can make more money on your gear but what happens during the time of inversion? Is every American going to list their gear in CAD? Where is the meek chance of Asset security and our fair market pricing based on the market? Example: Person A in USA is selling a canopy at the fair market price of $1600USD (DOM:08/2013 w/200 Jumps) but Person B in Canada is selling a similar canopy for $1600USD (Dom: 08/2011 w/400 jumps)? Person B should have their Canopy listed in CAD...it would be fair market value, right? but person B also knows there is a better profit margin if the canopy is sold in USD. Is this a ethical situation or highway robbery? I can see they are Playing the stock market game and its good to go but When the playing field is on par, who is filling the hurt feelings report? Now, you cant buy Canadian gear without a USD price tag and it hurts the propulsion of Canadian skydivers. There should be a reasonable "fair market" trading price whether or not the currency is playing the same game. On the other side, its not painfully pricey for Americans to visit Canadian dropzones or buy Canadian gear listed in CAD. thats a win! Maybe I should be the one filling a hurt feelings report because I cant afford to buy American gear due to exchange rates... its a healthy rant. $1 USD equals $1.33 CAD which has been a low for the summer but when your a happy hopping Canadian who exchanges $1000CAD for altitude in America, you get $753.30USD for jump tickets. A Canadian jumping in Canada: $1000CAD equals 28 jumps($35CAD/jump). When a Canadian jumps in America: $753.30USD equals 29 jumps($26USD/jump)...If your a Canadian, Where would jump thus being based on travel and accomedations? If a American jumps in Canada: $1000USD equals $1,327.37CAD which turns into 38 Jumps($35CAD/jump) but If that same American jumps in America: $1000USD equals 38 jumps ($26USD/jump)...mind blown. Were on Par for jump prices despite travel expenses which can vary based on many of expenses and luxurys...packers anyone?! neuf said. Going back to the gear... We all need to remeber the fair market value! Does your new car lose 30% when it rolls off the lot? Yes. And you lose $1 for everytime you jump the canopy? Yes. But no matter what the market does, we still need play a safe and happy game of currency exchange rates and fair market value. Now, I cant buy a new PD Storm for $2,080.00USD (w/o Tax, shipping, currency, customs and love) becuase its going to cost me $2,758.65CAD and my relationship with a happy wife ,which equals Happy life buts thats a different rant... 7. over the past 40 WS jumps, I have been pitching a 175 Triathon Hybrid and it works like a charm. On heading openings at 1.5 WL wihtout issues. Before the triathlon, I was loading a Pilot 188 at 1.3 and even with line twist, she flew on heading... and she was softer on opening but I like the quicker openings of a triathlon. It is personal preference but wingloadings
  8. Thank you for insight but I was seeking solutions rather than the obvious. Your profile says Infinity..... Stuffing a 210 (ZPX @ 17% less pack volume) into a I-34 then having to ride a 160 reserve would not be safe but is it doable? Main vs reserve; which difference in sizing and/or wind loading would effect your speed to deal with a malfunction? 10sqft, 20sqft, 30sqft, 40sqft? 1:1, 1.5:1, 2:1 ? Where did mirage come up with their idea behind the Mirage W-series? Small reserve. Larger main. Im opening up the table for criticism and/or solutions which would prove more helpful; who has answers? from which discipline; wingsuit? CrW? Swoop? accuracy? Check your ego at the door. Stay humble.
  9. Thank you for the clean response. I did the calculation with your Chart and it seems as if the 210ZPX will now be too large. According to your chart, the 210ZP would be approx. 539cui Now, the ZPX 17% decrease in pack volume.............447cui We know the Pilot 188 with ZPX material works for the 387sqft main pack tray. Aerodyne Pilot 188 (ZP: 440cui VS ZPX: 365cui) Check your ego at the door. Stay humble.
  10. Tracking... The reserve to main size and wingloading differences. The answer required is more focused on Pack Volume. Check your ego at the door. Stay humble.
  11. Currently, Im looking to stuff a 210ZPX into a container made for canopies between the sizes of 150-170sqft..... Aerodyne ZPX material has 17% less pack volume than a ZP of the same size… The Velocity I-34 container has a maximum pack volume size of 387cui (150-170sqft) -A Triathlon 210 with ZP material has a pack volume of 435cui -A triathlon 210 with ZPX material has a pack volume of 361cui (0.17% - 435) Even when the ZPX material has 10% less volume, the calculation is close but doable @ 391cui WHEN were comparing to the Velocity container MAX pack volume of 387cui In theory, it appears it works…. What are your thoughts about the triathlon 210ZPX pack volume? Past experience? Is it possible to pack the ZPX material 2x smaller? Thank you for your time, advice and suggestions in canopy to container sizing. Check your ego at the door. Stay humble.

  15. Thank you; I sent a email on monday and recieved a response... -30 CUC/jump $25 rentals -Wingsuit Allowed -Bring License and log book -If your brining gear, bring reserve card, AAD etc.. Standard DZ check-in First landing at DZ but If you demostrate strong canopy skills then you may land at your resort beach. It seems checked out. I was a little worried about a "tandem mill" but this dropzone did host a competition last year. Check your ego at the door. Stay humble.
  16. Are they definitely allowing skydivers from other countries? Gouverning body? AAD? Wingsuit? Jump prices? term & conditions? ETC Check your ego at the door. Stay humble.

  18. The reason behind the poll: What will work best in the development of arm wing breakdown in order to effectively take control of your canopy and/or emergency procedures with the least amount of steps. In deployment, You see various techniques to reach, grab, pull and prey (add your variation) but after utilizing your varied deployment technique what will mitigate body position, harness shifting, head down (etc) which leads to malfunctions.... (Im Not saying the aforementioned is the root cause of malfunctions but it builds the arguable points to improve) A common malfunction is line twist. Line twist under a heavy loaded canopy (1.5+ lbs/sqft) Could lead to the inevitable ground rush or cutaway but hence the poll..... What is the fastest way to take control of this situation? and What wingsuit options will help free your arms faster? Check your ego at the door. Stay humble.
  19. Thank you for the information. I will play the treasure hunt for components! Check your ego at the door. Stay humble.
  20. Please can someone contact me about components for the SideWinder Parachute Container. The SideWinder is a Canadian made rig that uses compoents from other rig manufactures; Do you know which manufacture provides these parts? or Which parts can be used in this rig? Freebag and Reserve PC... I had a 176r in this rig but now I need to replace cut away components. Any information would be great! Check your ego at the door. Stay humble.
