  1. Not a problem - in slow flight, both engines throttled back, the 45 degree rule "should" apply. As long as your pilot friend can fly straight and level. Maybe the same probability as hitting the tail of a King Air B90, follow similar procedures and cautions.

    I made a couple of no suiters, just a pair of shorts, from Ed O'Brien's (D1123) 337 N2617F (at Morningstar Beach USVI) back in '83. You may have seen a previous post of mine on the same subject.

  2. Your biggest problem will be getting stuck behind hundreds of old geezers driving slow moving Winnebagos going the same direction you are. That might not be a bad thing - the price of gas is $6.00 a gallon or more, you'll get better mileage at slower speeds.
