  1. I fully expect this to be removed from the forums but I have to say it. I have experienced moderators removing posts because they think it may possibly be personal attacks...correct me if I am wrong but we are all adults here right? If someone were to take offense isnt it up to them if they want to read or not? Does anyone else have a problem with their words either being removed or "edited"? Does anyone else have a problem with someone else deciding what they can and cannot read? I am sure the intentions are honorable...but isnt the road to hell paved with good intentions? ---you should seriously consider removing yourself from the gene pool---
  2. You are right I apologize...I could have disagreed without resorting to name calling. I was frustrated by the fact that you NITPICKED a show that truly portrayed skydiving in a positive light. They could have gone the whole "real tv" route and shown carnage. Belive me there was no shortage of carnage at the DZ that day. But, they took great pains to avoid that. As far as the chances of him falling out of the harness...the y-mod on the strong harness makes the chances of him falling out of an intact harness ZERO. Had the harness failed then I guess there would be a chance of him falling out. I could have explained all of that to him when asked about the chances of falling out..but really only a jackass would have taken that route. ---you should seriously consider removing yourself from the gene pool---
  3. I was the instructor and there was zero chance of him falling out of that harness...jackass ---you should seriously consider removing yourself from the gene pool---
  4. I am loathe to ask this...especially on DZ.com forums. I AM NOT MAKING ANY ACCUSATIONS, OR IMPLICATIONS against any particular DZ. We skydive...some of us do it for a living...skydiving is dangerous. I know this. I try to provide the best instruction I can, and I use the best gear I can to make skydiving as safe as it can possibly be. Has anyone ever been presented with a situation where the gear provided is less than safe, and the attitude/actions of the dzo dont address the problems? Or, the way in which the problem is addressed is wrong? If so then what did you do about it...you can message me directly f you do not want to reply in public. ---you should seriously consider removing yourself from the gene pool---
  5. Uh...I have no idea to either question. All I know is I saw the round while in Baghdad in 04. Super high velocity...a friend of mine had a shitload of them. ---you should seriously consider removing yourself from the gene pool---
  6. Since you asked I dont think jumping a camera at 90 jumps is a very good idea but if you were at my DZ and I was on a plane with you I would not be the asshole giving you unsolicited advice. By the time you are in the plane it is too late anyway. What are you going to do at that point? Ride the plane down, jump without a helmet? Now you have 90 jumps with a camera on your head and a nagging doubt that some know it all asshole gave you because he could not keep his mouth shut. Gear fear on top of everything else now...great scenario. I wonder what he was hoping to accomplish other than being that guy who thinks his way is the only way. If he was really concerned he should have said someting to the S&TA, and the S&TA should have said something to you when you were on the ground. Unless he was the S&TA, in which case he was not doing a very good job. Bottom line... if you and your bro were doing a 2 way, pulling high, and not jumping with the person telling you you were reckless...it was none of his damn business. The only person you could hurt in that situation is yourself, and you signed the waiver. My two cents...I know it wont be a popular opinion, and I am sure I will catch hell for the way I worded it...oh well ---you should seriously consider removing yourself from the gene pool---
  7. Myth: The bullet from this gun can penetrate concrete bunkers Fact: "It takes 300 rounds to penetrate 2 meters of reinforced concrete at 100 meters.”70 At $5 per round, it would cost a terrorist $1,500 in ammunition to shoot into one bunker. A titanium,or stainless steel .308 projectile saboted and shot from a .50 BMG rifle or M2 can go right through a concrete jersey barrier and kill the haji dead that is hiding behind it with his AK thinking he is all safe. ---you should seriously consider removing yourself from the gene pool---
  8. Waldo was my closest friend. We have shared some pretty amazing adventures over the years. His no prisoners approach to whatever he undertook was an inspiration. He touched the lives of so many people. His light burned so brightly and wherever he went people wanted to be near him. His blunt honesty, and his passion for having fun was the catalyst for many an eventful night. I could tell Wally anything. He never passed judgment...unconditional love is hard to find. I am so blessed to have had a friend like Waldo. I will miss him terribly. I hope that when my time in this world is over I will get to see him. Until then I will keep him in my heart and strive to live life by his example. Fly free my tiger striped friend. I love you
  9. Safety Day weekend...Saturday March 13th 2004. Skydive Orange in Orange Virginia. Saturday March 13th is Safety Day. A day that everyone should be at the DZ dusting off the rigs, and getting re-current on some skills dulled by winter's wrath. Some of us really need to be there. Sadly, for some, it probably wont help anyway. Still others, a very small minorty, are terrified of a dropzone on safety day. Regardless of what Safety Day category you fall under I have another reason to be at the DZ for Saturday MArch 13th. The much anticipated Orange Film Festival will be held the night of the 13th. You have a little over a month to edit the stuff you already have, or shoot/edit some brand spankin new flicks. Each vid should be confined to the vicinity of 6 minutes (not a hard and fast rule but dont go nuts). You can enter a maximum of two videos one in general skydiving, and one in comedy. the contestants should have the videos submitted to judges (TBA) the night of the 12th for a pre screening. Go all out! Have fun! There will be prizes and food. Bring your friends. If you dont have any real friends bring an imaginary one! If you plan on submitting a video please respond directly to me. If you want to help out with the weekend also respond directly to me. Have fun... ---you should seriously consider removing yourself from the gene pool---

  11. 9mm or .45 tough question. Hoenst ly it all boils down to situational need, and personal preference. I currently carry a kimber ultra carry series 2 with a 3 inch barrel in .45 cal. I have carried a glock in 9mm and 40, and a sig in 9mm. I prefer a single action 1911 style pistol. The kimber while a tad pricey is a fantastic weapon. The Para's are excellent as well although it is not a true single action or double action. What are the reasons for carry? If it is purely for a home defense weapon then I would go with a 9mm...easier to maintain proficiency due to ammo being very cheap. If it is a gun that you will be carrying everyday and possibly taking into harms way then I would not go with anything but a .45 . It is a large slow moving round capable of doing horrific damage with a higher probability of a one shot stop. Additonally if you are going to carry for defensive purposes get a weapon that is not modified...ie trigger mods or compensators...modified weapons get closer scrutiny in the court case after a shooting. A good gunshop sales person can guide you in the right direction. Tell him/her everything you expect that you need it for and they can help point you to the weapon you need. ---you should seriously consider removing yourself from the gene pool---

  14. Lets face it.....there are some people in the world we can do without. Some folks just need killing so the world can be a better place. Hitler said pretty much the same thing...I believe he called it the final solution. ---you should seriously consider removing yourself from the gene pool---
